We partner with federal and state agencies to design and deliver solutions that make a real, measurable difference.\nAbout The Role\nAs a Pricing Analyst on our Corporate Finance team, you'll bring together two closely connected parts of our business: helping win new work by supporting proposal pricing, and helping deliver on our current commitments by managing program-level finances across a portfolio of federally funded contracts and grants.\nYou'll partner directly with Project Directors and Program/Contract Managers on budgeting and forecasting, and you'll provide matrixed support to Altarum's Corporate Program Management Office (PMO) - contributing cross-program financial analysis, dashboards, and status reporting. If you're a finance professional with a few years of experience looking to build deep expertise in government contract and nonprofit program finance, this role offers a strong foundation within a mission-driven organization.\nWhat You'll Do\nPricing Support\nSupport the development of cost proposals and pricing volumes for new business and recompete opportunities, including basis-of-estimate (BOE) documentation.\nHelp build labor rate, escalation, and indirect rate build-ups for proposal pricing models, working closely with the Pricing and Contracts teams.\nPrepare cost realism and competitive pricing analyses to support solicitation responses.\nCoordinate with Business Development, Contracts, and Program teams to align pricing assumptions with program budgets and staffing plans.\nProgram Finance\nSupport monthly financial reviews for your assigned programs and contracts, tracking actual costs against approved budgets and funding ceilings.\nPrepare and maintain program budgets, spend plans, and cost forecasts (EAC/ETC) in coordination with Project Directors.\nAnalyze budget-to-actual variances and prepare variance narratives and corrective-action recommendations for management review.\nTrack incurred costs, funding modifications, subcontractor spending, and contract ceiling balances.\nSupport period-end and program closeout activities, including final financial reporting for completing programs.\nMatrixed Support to the Corporate PMO\nServe as a financial liaison to Altarum's Corporate PMO, supplying program financial data for portfolio-level status reports, dashboards, and executive reviews.\nHelp consolidate program-level financial metrics - such as burn rate, EAC/ETC, and funding utilization - into standardized PMO reporting templates.\nSupport cross-program analysis to flag financial risks, funding gaps, or staffing/budget misalignments for PMO and finance leadership.\nParticipate in Integrated Program Reviews (IPRs) and program status meetings, contributing financial insight alongside Project Directors.\nHelp maintain consistency between program financial systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint) and PMO reporting tools.\nWhat You'll Bring\nRequired Qualifications\n3-5 years of relevant financial analysis, pricing, accounting, and program finance experience.\n Experience in proposal pricing, cost volume development, or basis-of-estimate (BOE) preparation.\n Familiarity with government contract types (cost-reimbursable, T&M, FFP) and basic FAR cost principles.\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.\nExcellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent programs and deadlines.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data for non-financial audiences.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively across finance, program, and PMO teams.\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Deltek Costpoint or a similar government contract accounting/ERP system.\nExposure to PMO reporting practices or financial dashboarding tools.\nPrior experience in a nonprofit, government contracting, or professional services environment.\nExperience supporting federal health agency contracts (e.g., HHS, CMS, ONC) is a plus.\nWhy Join Our Team?\nThis role is a chance to grow as a finance professional at the intersection of pricing strategy and program delivery, building skills that are valued across government contracting and nonprofit finance alike. You'll see a direct line between your work and Altarum's mission: by keeping our programs' finances sound, you help free our program teams to focus fully on improving health for the populations who need it most. You'll also gain broad exposure across the organization - partnering with Project Directors, Program/Contract Managers, Business Development, Contracts, and our Corporate PMO - building a well-rounded view of how a mission-driven government contractor operates.\nWhere You'll Work\nRemote with occasional in-person collaboration days\nIf you’re near one of our offices (Silver Spring, MD; or Novi, MI), you’ll be Hybrid and will join us in person one day every other month (6 times per year) for a fun, purpose-driven Collaboration Day. These days are filled with creative energy, meaningful connection, and team brainstorming.\nNon-local employees will join these days virtually and may be asked to join us occasionally in-person.\nWork Eligibility & Requirements\nCandidates must be currently eligible to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.\nAll work must be performed within the continental U.S. for the duration of employment, unless required by contract.\nAbility to work core hours aligned with Eastern Time, unless otherwise approved by your manager.\nRemote employees must maintain a dedicated, ergonomically appropriate workspace free from distractions, with reliable internet and a mobile device that supports efficient work.\nTravel Requirements:","description_format":"text","description_chars":5963,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United States","iso":"US","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Government","Professional Services","Nonprofits & Foundations"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-15T14:42:58Z"}],"liveness":{"score":49,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.649,"p_room":0.75,"age_days":36,"expected_fill_days":38,"reasons":["conf:2","win:late"],"computed_at":"2026-09-30T05:45:00Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":103013,"is_top_pay":false},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/altarum-pricing-analyst","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/altarum-pricing-analyst.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-01T04:55:07Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":4483,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":517,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-02T00:00:00Z"}}}
