The Cleaner will ensure that all spaces are clean, safe, and presentable, contributing to a comfortable environment for staff, visitors, and participants. The Cleaner will also perform specialized cleanings, inventory management, floor stripping and waxing as well as other relevant tasks as assigned by management.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nWash and clean walls, doors, and furnishings, including interior and exterior windowpanes, partitions, windowsills, blinds, elevators, and picture frames.\nClean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, offices, and participant areas, and common areas.\nClean refrigerators, freezers, countertops, sinks, and related surfaces.\nPerform specialized cleaning tasks requiring specific training (e.g. White room, Hep-C, etc).\nEmpty trash and dispose of waste in accordance with procedures.\nRefill supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and hand sanitizer.\nUnclog sinks and toilets using approved products and tools. As required by location.\nSweep, mop, and wash floors and staircases.\nVacuum and shampoo carpets as required.\nStrip, wax, and polish floors.\nInspect, clean, and wash lockers, locker rooms, and related areas.\nRemove debris and clean rooms that have been damaged or heavily soiled.\nPerform heavy cleaning duties, including spring cleaning and maintenance-related cleaning.\nMaintain inventory of cleaning supplies and consumables.\nParticipate in training and orientation of new staff members.\nHandle, carry, and properly use cleaning equipment, tools, and materials.\nMaintain tools, equipment, and cleanliness of assigned work areas.\nReport irregularities, defects, hazards, or maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor and take corrective action when appropriate.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nWhat You’ll Need to Succeed\nHigh School Diploma completed.\n3 years of related experience.\nMust be able to lift 50 lbs.\nAvailable to work weekends as needed.\nAvailable to work at our Montreal site (1200 Beaumont).\nAvailable to travel to our Laval site as needed.\nBasic knowledge of English to be able to understand certain key documents written in English.\nAdvanced knowledge of French.\nComputer literacy.\nAbility to safely operate cleaning equipment.\nKnowledge of cleaning techniques and cleaning products.\nAbility to follow instructions and procedures.\nOrganizational skills and autonomy.\nDiscretion and respect for confidentiality.\nAltasciences strives to provide a French working environment for its employees in Quebec.
