This role helps ensure timely acquisition of materials and services while maintaining accurate records and supporting compliance with company and regulatory standards.\nWhat You’ll Do Here\nSupport sourcing activities for laboratory supplies, raw materials, equipment, and services critical to biotech operations.\n\nIdentify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers in compliance with quality and regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, FDA requirements).\n\nAssist in negotiating pricing, contracts, and service-level agreements to achieve cost savings and value optimization\n\nProcess purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner.\n\nEnsure continuity of supply for critical materials used in research, development, and manufacturing.\n\nTrack orders, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate with vendors to address delivery or quality issues.\n\nPerform initial contract reviews to ensure alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.\n\nMaintain accurate sourcing and contract records within procurement systems.\n\nEnsure procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations (GxP, FDA, ISO standards).\n\nAnalyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and support budgeting efforts.\n\nMonitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier performance metrics.\n\nPrepare reports and dashboards to support sourcing decisions and leadership reviews.\n\nPartner with R&D, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Finance teams to understand sourcing needs and priorities.\n\nSupport new product development and clinical programs by sourcing specialized materials and services.\n\nCommunicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure alignment and issue resolution.\n\nContribute to process improvements in procurement workflows and systems.\n\nSupport supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nParticipate in cross-training and knowledge-sharing efforts to enhance team capability.\n\nWhat You’ll Need to Succeed\nBachelor’s degree preferred\n\nAt least 2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or contract management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.\n\nProficiency in contract management systems and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Coupa).\n\nAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.\n\nAnalytical Ability: Skills in cost analysis, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.\n\nCommunication: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.\n\nDetail Orientation: High level of accuracy in data entry and contract review.\n\nWillingness to travel to various site locations as needed.\n\nCapable of managing multiple conflicting priorities.\n\nMust be self-directed, motivated, and have a willingness to take the initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.\n\nRelevant industry experience a plus.\n\nAltasciences strives to provide a French working environment for its employees in Quebec.
