Support Study Supervisor(s) and Study Director(s) by performing and assisting with sample and data collection on research studies.\nWhat You'll Do Here\nFollow SOPs and Protocols to perform procedures on study and stock animals, including, but not limited to: clinical observations, food consumptions, body weights, urine collection, administering injectable anesthesia, mating procedures, restraint, enrichment, and feeding and food removal.\n\nAssist with blood draws, catheter placement, dose administration, and euthanasia.\n\nFollow written and verbal instruction: Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Protocols, Daily Schedules.\n\nRecord, enters and reviews raw data, study and facility.\n\nSets up for procedures and maintains ancillaries on study animals.\n\nOperate selected laboratory equipment (i.e., glucometer, digital thermometer).\n\nMonitor and report changes in animal behavior or health, and problems with animal rooms (e.g., caging, lights, and temperature) to all appropriate personnel.\n\nMaintain general cleanliness and organization of work areas.\n\nMonitor and report study changes to Study Director and all appropriate personnel.\n\nObtain animal information (tattoo, sex, ear tag, ear notch, etc), recognizes animal behavior health status, and reports to appropriate personnel.\n\nWhat You'll Need to Succeed\nHigh School Diploma and/or GED required; BS/BA in a scientific discipline preferred.\n\nMinimum of 0-1 of related experience.\n\nKnowledge of MS Office suite and the ability to adapt easily to new software programs.\n\nAbility to work cross functionally on process improvements.\n\nDemonstrated attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast paced, changing environment.\n\nAbility to manage change and can readily adapt to new projects.\n\nPositive attitude toward work and co-workers.\n\nBeing comfortable communicating with all levels of management and employees.\n\nAble to identify and resolve problems as they are encountered.\n\nALAT certification preferred.\n\nWork Authorization & Sponsorship:\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
