You'll help manage cash, fund deals, set up repayments, maintain accurate investment records, and keep our books clean across our operating accounts.\nThis is a hands-on role for someone early in their career who wants real responsibility from day one. You'll work directly with leadership and our external accountants, learn how a specialty lender runs day to day, and take on more ownership as you grow.\nWhy This Role Matters\nYou keep cash moving. Bank reconciliation, deal funding, repayments, and commissions all run through this seat.\nYou keep the books clean. Accurate, reconciled records let our external accountants close each month smoothly.\nYou keep us organized. Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual deadlines across finance, operations, and compliance depend on your follow-through.\nYou help keep us compliant. You'll support state licensing and regulatory filings and learn the compliance side of lending.\nWhat You'll Do\nReview bank accounts and the daily cash position, and fund new deals\nSet up and manage repayments in Salesforce, including payment adjustments and refunds\nMaintain accurate investment and participation records on funded deals, including renewal funding amounts\nProcess scheduled payments and commission payments\nReview and pay company invoices\nPerform regular bookkeeping across multiple bank accounts and prepare information for our external accountants\nTrack company credit card expenses and other liabilities\nMaintain and improve weekly and monthly reports and trackers\nSupport state license renewals, Secretary of State filings, NMLS Mortgage Call Reports, and NMLS and DFPI annual reports\nHelp prepare annual 1099s\nBack up the processing and operations teams as needed\nWhat You Bring to the Table\n1-3 years of experience in finance operations, treasury, bookkeeping, or accounting. Specialty finance, lending, or fund administration experience is a plus.\nSolid accounting fundamentals and a strong eye for detail\nComfort handling high transaction volume accurately\nStrong Excel skills; Salesforce experience is a plus\nDiscretion with sensitive financial data\nOrganization and follow-through across recurring daily, weekly, monthly, and annual deadlines\nCuriosity and a desire to grow into a larger finance or operations role\nPreferred Education\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field\nCompensation and Benefits\nCompensation: $90,000-$120,000, depending on experience, plus bonus eligibility based on company performance.\nMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance\nAncillary benefit plans (Life Insurance, Commuter Benefits)\n401(k) with company match\nFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and HSA\nPaid time off and professional development support\nWhy You'll Love Working Here\nAt altbanq, we value curiosity, clarity, and collaboration.
