To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility and duty satisfactorily.\nSUMMARY: The CNC Mill Operator is responsible for following prescribed standards of CNC operations, meeting cycle times, promoting on time delivery through their performance efforts, demonstrating knowledge and application of lean manufacturing, promoting teamwork through their behavior, acting in accordance with Altek's Policies and adhering to the goals and expectations as defined by management.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nFollows the procedures established in the work instructions or by the Assistant Manager(s) and/or Lead(s)\nFollows prescribed standards of CNC Mill operations\nPays strong attention to detail, exhibits critical thinking skills and meets set cycle times \nTakes an active role in organizing and improving current processes, when necessary, through SWI change suggestions\nInspects product according to Altek’s Quality Policies and Procedures\nIs proactive in maintaining established company policies and manufacturing strategies\nBuilds and maintains positive rapport, communication and behavior with other Altek employees, customers and/or suppliers\nAdapts and modifies as circumstances warrant \nDemonstrates safe work habits\nEmbraces Altek's Quality Policy to ensure quality to internal and external customers\nEmbraces Altek's vision, core values, and expected behaviors\nFUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILTIES:\nCompletes end-of-shift tie-in log and accurately enters part and scrap counts into Paperless \nQUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nCNC Machining Certificate or minimum of 1 year experience as a Machine Shop Operator\nEffective verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to accurately read blueprints \nQuality-conscious attitude and pride of ownership in designated responsibilities\nSkilled with portable measuring devices used in the production processes at Altek\nMust be able to read and comply
