We at ALTEN are now looking proactively for Embedded Software Testers for future assignments in the automotive industry.\nAbout the Role\nDesign, develop, and automate test cases for embedded software and system functions.\nVerify software functionality, interfaces, diagnostics, and communication behaviors.\nWork in HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) environments, simulation environments, and on target hardware.\nAnalyze test results, identify defects, and support root cause analysis in collaboration with developers and system engineers.\nContribute to test automation and the continuous improvement of test methods, tools, and processes.\nCollaborate closely with developers, test engineers, system engineers, and safety engineers.\nYour Profile\nWe are looking for someone with:\nMaster’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, or equivalent.\nExperience in the automotive industry – you understand the challenges and requirements of the sector.\nExperience with AUTOSAR architecture – you have worked with standardized software platforms for vehicles.\nStrong knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN and Automotive Ethernet.\nExperience with UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services) – you can work with diagnostics and error handling.\nPractical experience with Vector tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, vTESTstudio/VTEST.\nProficiency in Python, CAPL, or other scripting languages for test automation.\nExperience with HIL systems and real-time simulation.\nUnderstanding of low-level protocols and firmware interfaces.\nKnowledge of system safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity standards in the automotive industry.\nAbility to work in a multicultural environment and communicate effectively in English\nDesirable:\nExperience with requirement-based testing, integration testing, and system testing.\nFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and cross-functional teams.\nSwedish or EU Driver’s License – required for participation in field-based activities.\nWhat we offer you?\nEvery employee is equally valuable in the success of ALTEN!
