You will support harness routing activities, EHI deliverables, 3D integration work, and the mechanical integration of harness systems within complex environments.\nLocation: Derby\nOn Site: 3 days per week\nClearance: Clearable\n Experience Level: Mid-Level\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop and deliver detailed harness designs in accordance with project requirements.\nProduce and maintain Electrical Harness Installation (EHI) documentation and related design deliverables.\nDesign and optimise cable routing solutions while considering installation, maintenance and manufacturing constraints.\nSupport 3D integration activities to ensure successful incorporation of harness systems within vehicle architectures.\nCollaborate with electrical, mechanical and systems engineering teams to resolve integration challenges.\nCreate and maintain engineering drawings, design documentation and technical reports.\nParticipate in design reviews and provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle.\nEnsure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, customer requirements and industry best practices.\nSupport change management activities and implementation of design modifications.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the design engineering function.\n Qualifications\nRequired Skills:\nProven experience in harness design within a rail, aerospace, automotive or similarly regulated engineering environment.\nStrong understanding of harness routing methodologies and installation requirements.\nExperience producing and managing EHI (Electrical Harness Installation) documentation.\nExperience of 3D integration within complex engineering assemblies.\nStrong knowledge of mechanical integration and packaging considerations.\nExperience working with EDS (Electrical Distribution Systems).\nAbility to interpret technical specifications and translate requirements into effective design solutions.\nExperience working with engineering drawings, design documentation and configuration control processes.\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve integration issues within multidisciplinary teams.\nGood communication skills and the ability to engage with multiple engineering stakeholders.\nRequired Qualifications:\nA Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent military experience.\nDesirable Skills:\nExperience within the rail industry and rolling stock programmes.\nFamiliarity with industry-standard CAD and harness design tools.\nKnowledge of electrical installation standards and vehicle integration activities.\nExperience supporting design reviews, validation activities and engineering change processes.\n Additional Information\nWhy join us?\nWork with cutting-edge technology and industry-leading programmes.\nBe part of a collaborative and innovative engineering environment.\nAccess opportunities for professional development and career progression.\nJoin a global engineering consultancy with a strong presence across multiple high-technology sectors.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3899,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Professional development"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United Kingdom","iso":"GB","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["IT Consulting & Digital Transformation","Engineering Services"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-28T13:48:30Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Senior or Specialist Worker, Skilled Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Global Business Mobility: Senior or Specialist Worker;
