Working alongside Project Managers, Engineers and stakeholders, you will play a key role in coordinating project activities, managing engineering documentation and ensuring project deliverables are issued on time and in accordance with quality requirements.\nThis position would suit candidates who have gained experience within structural engineering, mechanical engineering, steelwork fabrication, construction, industrial projects or document control environments and are looking to develop their project delivery career within a fast-paced engineering setting.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupport the successful delivery of structural steelwork and engineering projects from design through to installation.\nCoordinate activities between engineers project management, procurement, fabrication and construction teams.\nManage and maintain project documentation, ensuring records are accurate, up-to-date and compliant with project requirements.\nTrack project deliverables, actions, risks and key milestones.\nOrganise project meetings, workshops and design reviews, recording minutes and monitoring actions through to completion.\nMonitor the status of engineering drawings, specifications, calculations and technical documentation.\nSupport document submission and approval processes with clients and stakeholders.\nAssist with project reporting, progress updates and performance tracking.\nMaintain document registers, transmittals and project databases.\nSupport change management and configuration control activities.\nLiaise with internal teams, clients, suppliers and contractors to ensure effective communication and coordination.\nEnsure compliance with quality management procedures and document control processes.\n Required Skills:\nPrevious experience as a Project Coordinator, Engineering Coordinator, Project Support Officer, Document Controller or similar position.\nExperience supporting engineering, construction, fabrication or infrastructure projects.\nStrong document management and project coordination experience.\nAbility to work across multiple stakeholders and technical disciplines.\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.\nRequired Qualifications:\nA Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.\nDesirable Skills:\nExperience managing engineering drawings and technical documentation.\nFamiliarity with nuclear, energy, fabrication, manufacturing or construction environments.\nExperience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nUnderstanding of engineering project lifecycles from design through delivery.\nExperience within Energy, Nuclear, Infrastructure, Industrial or Construction sectors.\nExposure to project planning or scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.\n Why join us?\nWe bring together entrepreneurial, tech-driven people to deliver innovative solutions for leading companies.\nAt ALTEN, you’ll work on exciting projects, supported by ongoing learning, mentoring, and clear career development tailored to your goals.\nJoin a passionate team and help build tomorrow, today.\nIn short you get:\nA personalised career path and a rewarding management style \nA huge diversity of engineering projects and industries\nPrivate Medical Insurance\nCycle & Tech Scheme \nEmployee assistance programme\nLife insurance & Pension Scheme\nSocial atmosphere, regular gatherings & team buildings\nFlexible way of working (role dependent)\nWe are proud to support the Armed Forces Covenant & actively encourage applications from members of the Armed Forces community, including veterans, reservists, service leavers, and military spouses/partners.
