Working within a laboratory environment, you will play a key role in the testing, validation and compliance of products, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with established standards and procedures.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with hands-on RF testing experience who enjoys working in a structured, technically challenging environment and collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nKey Responsibilities:\nConduct RF testing using a range of specialist test equipment, including spectrum analysers and oscilloscopes.\nOperate and maintain RF test chambers and associated laboratory equipment.\nSupport the planning, scheduling and execution of daily test laboratory activities.\nWork closely with engineering teams to verify and validate product performance.\nProduce accurate test records, reports and supporting documentation.\nEnsure all testing activities are completed in accordance with relevant accreditation, quality and compliance requirements.\nAssist with troubleshooting and investigation of test failures and performance issues.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and testing methodologies.\n Required Skills:\nMinimum of 2 years' experience in an RF testing, RF laboratory or related engineering environment.\nHands-on experience operating spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes and RF chambers.\nStrong understanding of RF principles, measurement techniques and testing methodologies.\nExperience executing structured test procedures and documenting results.\nAbility to work within regulated processes while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.\nRequired Qualifications:\nA Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.\nDesirable Skills:\nExperience supporting consumer electronics or wireless communication products.\nKnowledge of RF compliance and industry testing standards.\nFamiliarity with laboratory accreditation requirements and quality management systems.\nExperience working within EMC, wireless or radio frequency test environments.\n Why join us?\nWe bring together entrepreneurial, tech-driven people to deliver innovative solutions for leading companies.\nAt ALTEN, you’ll work on exciting projects, supported by ongoing learning, mentoring, and clear career development tailored to your goals.\nJoin a passionate team and help build tomorrow, today.\nIn short you get:\nA personalised career path and a rewarding management style \nA huge diversity of engineering projects and industries\nPrivate Medical Insurance\nCycle & Tech Scheme \nEmployee assistance programme\nLife insurance & Pension Scheme\nSocial atmosphere, regular gatherings & team buildings\nFlexible way of working (role dependent)\nWe are proud to support the Armed Forces Covenant & actively encourage applications from members of the Armed Forces community, including veterans, reservists, service leavers, and military spouses/partners.
