We take pride in fostering a culture where employees feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.\nWorkplace: On-Site, 5 days per week\nLocation: Newark, CA\nSalary: $105-115k\nWe are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer II with hands-on experience in AUTOSAR platform development to support the design and development of powertrain electronic control units (ECUs) for next-generation electric vehicles. In this role, you will contribute to the development of highly reliable and safety-critical embedded software, supporting products from concept through production.\nThe ideal candidate will have strong experience in C/C++ embedded software development, AUTOSAR architecture and configuration, debugging, integration, and validation of embedded systems.\nResponsibilities \n\nDevelop embedded platform software for powertrain electronic control units from concept through production.\n\nDesign and implement software based on AUTOSAR architecture and standards.\n\nSupport integration, debugging, and validation of embedded software features.\n\nPerform software troubleshooting across hardware and software interfaces.\n\nParticipate in design reviews and code reviews to improve software quality and performance.\n\nOptimize platform software for reliability, scalability, and maintainability.\n\nExecute design verification and product validation testing activities.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.\nRequired Qualifications \n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.\n\n2+ years of professional experience in embedded software development.\n\nStrong programming experience in C and C++.\n\nExperience developing and delivering AUTOSAR-compliant software.\n\nSolid understanding of AUTOSAR architecture, stack components, and configuration tools.\n\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and component datasheets.\n\nExperience using on-chip debugging tools.\n\nExperience troubleshooting embedded software and hardware issues.\n\nHands-on experience with board bring-up activities.\n\nExperience with scripting and test automation tools.\nPreferred Qualifications \n\nExperience developing software for automotive ECUs.\n\nKnowledge of powertrain systems and vehicle electronics.\n\nFamiliarity with software integration, validation, and production release processes within automotive environments.\nSalary Range\n\n$105,000 - 115,000\n\nThe actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience \nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, genetic information, or pregnancy.\nPlease beware of job seeker scams and see this important notice on our careers page for more information about our recruiting process.\nCompliance Notice: Alten USA is a federal contractor subject to the requirements of the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Executive Order 11246.
