The role is approximately 90% electrical and 10% mechanical (clips, routing, retention).\n\nResponsibilities;\nDesign wire harnesses for the airframe, dock systems, and test benches\nSelect connectors, wire, and harness components\nCreate harness drawings, schematics, wire lists, and BOMs\nDefine routing, clipping, and retention with the mechanical team\nPlan and support harness testing (continuity, hipot) and resolve issues\nSupport transition of harness designs to production\nRequired Qualifications\nBS in Electrical Engineering or related field\n5+ years of harness design experience\nConnector and component selection experience\nWire sizing, shielding, grounding, and power distribution fundamentals\nHarness test and validation experience\nFamiliarity with the aerospace regulatory environment (FAA airworthiness requirements) and aerospace wiring standards (e.g., SAE AS50881)\nPreferred Qualifications\nUAV or aerospace harness experience\nHarness design tools (e.g., Capital, E3, SolidWorks Electrical)\nExperience supporting production build and inspection\nSalary Range: $120k - $150k\nThe actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience \nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, genetic information, or pregnancy.\nPlease beware of job seeker scams and see this important notice on our careers page for more information about our recruiting process.\nCompliance Notice: Alten USA is a federal contractor subject to the requirements of the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Executive Order 11246.
