The Project Manager will be responsible for driving IT-related projects from planning through execution, coordinating multiple stakeholders, managing dependencies and risks, and ensuring projects are delivered according to agreed scope, cost, quality, and schedule.\nThe ideal candidate has previous experience working in aerospace, aircraft manufacturing, engineering, or another complex industrial environment, and understands how IT solutions support production and operational processes.\nResponsibilities:\nLead and coordinate IT / Information Management projects supporting the Kinston site and its business operations.\nManage projects from initiation through delivery, including scope, planning, milestones, resources, budget, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.\nAct as the primary coordination point between business stakeholders, manufacturing/engineering teams, IT teams, vendors, and management.\nUnderstand business and operational requirements and translate them into structured IT project activities and priorities.\nMaintain project roadmaps, schedules, action plans, RAID logs, decision logs, and delivery plans.\nIdentify project risks, issues, and dependencies early and drive mitigation and escalation when required.\nEnsure effective communication and visibility regarding project progress, priorities, blockers, and decisions.\nPrepare and present project status reporting, KPIs, delivery performance, workload/capacity information, and management updates.\nLead project governance routines including steering meetings, project reviews, working sessions, action follow-up, and escalation.\nMonitor project performance against quality, cost, delivery, and schedule objectives.\nCoordinate technical and functional contributors across local, regional, and potentially global teams.\nEnsure projects comply with client IT/IM governance, architecture, cybersecurity, change management, and project management processes.\nSupport deployment, transition, change management, and operational readiness activities when applicable.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of project management practices, tools, templates, and governance processes.\nQualifications:\nProven experience as an IT Project Manager, IT Program Coordinator, or senior IT PMO in a complex organization.\nStrong understanding of IT project delivery and Information Management environments.\nExperience managing projects involving multiple technical, business, and operational stakeholders.\nDemonstrated ability to manage:\nScope and requirements\nProject schedules and milestones\nRisks, issues, actions, and dependencies\nResources and capacity\nBudgets and delivery performance\nExecutive and operational reporting\nStrong stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business users, and senior management.\nExperience working in structured project governance environments.\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to drive actions to closure.\nAbility to work autonomously while coordinating distributed and multidisciplinary teams.\nStrong organizational skills with a structured, rigorous, and execution-oriented mindset.\nAbility and willingness to work onsite in Kinston, NC approximately 2-3 days per week\nThe actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, genetic information, or pregnancy.\nPlease beware of job seeker scams and see this important notice on our careers page for more information about our recruiting process.\nCompliance Notice: Alten USA is a federal contractor subject to the requirements of the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Executive Order 11246.
