This position focuses on maintaining, securing, and troubleshooting computer systems while collaborating with scientists to meet their technical needs. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented team player with strong technical skills and a passion for aligning technology with scientific processes.\nResponsibilities:\nAssist in maintaining the global infrastructure of 5,000 laboratory PCs.\nTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to devices, networks, and laboratory software.\nSecure and harden new and existing hardware.\nImage and onboard new computers onto the network and domain.\nImplement and maintain data backup solutions for laboratory equipment.\nCollaborate with scientists to troubleshoot and implement data flows for scientific instruments.\nSupport digital transformation by upgrading laboratory hardware and processes.\nExplore and implement innovative, automated solutions for scientific challenges.\nAlign technology with scientific workflows to create a digitalized ecosystem.\nTest and validate software across different environments.\nCreate and maintain technical documentation related to configurations and procedures.\nProvide incident management, user support, coaching, and access management for scientists.\nBuild partnerships with scientists to align technical solutions with scientific needs.\nQualifications:\n3-5 years of relevant experience in a GxP lab environment.\nBachelors of Science in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar field.\nAbility to work fully onsite in King of Prussia, PA.\nStrong troubleshooting skills for obscure hardware and software issues.\nProficiency in end-user computing or desktop support (Break/Fix workload: 80%).\nKnowledge of networking concepts, including VLANS, IP configurations, firewalls, and the OSI model.\nFamiliarity with Active Directory and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).\nExperience with validated systems (GxP) and AGILE methodologies is preferred.\nCompetence in Microsoft OS, with knowledge of iOS and Linux being a plus.\nMicrosoft Excel skills are desirable.\nExceptional communication and organizational abilities.\nTeam player with a proactive attitude and attention to detail.\nAbility to follow processes, procedures, and guidance.\nWillingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.\nLeadership experience is a plus.\nUnderstanding of scientific equipment, controlling software, and data workflows.\nProject management and strong product ownership capabilities\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, genetic information, or pregnancy.\nPlease beware of job seeker scams and see this important notice on our careers page for more information about our recruiting process.\nCompliance Notice: Alten USA is a federal contractor subject to the requirements of the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Executive Order 11246.
