We take pride in fostering a culture where employees feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.\n\nONSITE: Carson, CA, Mon-Friday \nSalary: $100,000-$120,000/K\nThe Manufacturing Engineer will assists in maintaining the production process flow and production line structure for design Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Operational Excellence. This role contributes to the operations by supporting production element mainly through Bill of Materials, Routers, and work instructions. This role also contributes to optimizing manufacturing resource usage through continuous improvement.\nSummary of Duties:\nSupport deliverables during the manufacturing (production) engineering phase such as production documentation, industrial validation process\nProvide feedback to design engineering to improve product design for ease of manufacturing, optimization of cost, weight reduction and time to manufacture product\nIn product design phase: assist in activities that demonstrate production constraints and opportunities are recognized and addressed - evaluate the current state of industrial capacity and capability relative to program requirements - propose changes to program plans to ensure that production cost, quality and delivery objectives can be met.\nAssist in identification of capital expense and infrastructure investments.\nReview basic 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturability.\nPerform basic time studies, develop work breakdown structures, develop work instructions\nSupport industrialization metrics in line with Cabin standard KPI's and communicate performance on a regular basis\nContribute to costing and Bids and Proposals submitted to customers\nUse Lean principles in daily work\nKnow and understand regulatory requirements, customer specifications and company specifications.\nUnderstand machining, assembly lines, BOM creation, line layout\nBe capable with most site manufacturing procedures.\nUnderstand engineering drawings and 3D models and how they relate to manufacturability.\nWorking knowledge of assembly line and composites manufacturing.\nJob Requirements\nEducation:Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.\nComputer Skills:\nBasic understanding of ERP systems\nBasic functional knowledge of CATIA V5 & Smarteam\nGood knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nOther Skills:\nExperience working at an aircraft or other aerospace OEM\nKnowledge of common materials and manufacturing processes used in the aerospace industry\nProven ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and models\nKnowledge of LEAN tools\nBasic organization and communication skills\nAbility to work well independently and cross-functionally with significant oversight and review.\nBasic communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.\nBasic knowledge of primary processes like CNC machining, Layup and Crush Core\n\nSalary Range: $100,000-$120,000/K \nThe actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience \nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, genetic information, or pregnancy.\nPlease beware of job seeker scams and see this important notice on our careers page for more information about our recruiting process.\nCompliance Notice: Alten USA is a federal contractor subject to the requirements of the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Executive Order 11246.
