The responsibilities of the Project Leader are to manage the technical project activities according to agreed deliverables, quality as well as ensuring compliance with customer requirements. Additional responsibilities are to qualify the internal staffing of projects, develop and adhere to project timeline and report the operational situation during internal reviews.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty in accordance with defined standards. The essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:\nCustomer/Bid & Offer\nReview technical requirements set by customer\nParticipate in quotation activities\nSupport client meetings and on/off-site visits\nMonitor delivery progress with the customer\nSupport negotiation with the customer\nProject Management\nManage project team and tasks on a day-to-day basis\nReport/communicate to external technical stakeholder\nMonitor delivery progress on projects\nManage technical scope of projects\nResponsible for quality of deliverables\nReport on operational situation and potential risks internally\nEvaluate activities/roles that should be near-/offshore, if any\nSupport definition of roles and responsibilities in project organization\nSupport validation of project organization and team members\nMonitor technical skills of team members\nIdentify technical/project training needs on projects\nSupport efforts to change/improve engagement model with clients\nSupport AI implementation\nMinimum Qualifications and Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should meet each requirement. The requirements listed below are representative of the required knowledge, skills, and/or ability.\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a technical college or university in Engineering\nMinimum 5 years of total experience, including a minimum of 1 year in a Project Leadership role\nGeneral understanding of aerospace product development lifecycles, including design, engineering, testing, verification, and production.\nFamiliarity with cross-functional engineering environments involving mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering disciplines.\nAbility to understand and communicate technical concepts effectively with engineering teams, customers, and other stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications and Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to perform their essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of preferred knowledge, skills, and/or ability.\nEducation and Experience\nUnderstanding requirements management, configuration control, engineering change management, and technical documentation.\nFamiliarity with aerospace industry standards, quality requirements, and regulatory frameworks, such as AS9100, FAA, and EASA.\nPrevious experience within aircraft systems, cabin systems, or aerospace equipment development.\nLanguage Ability\nAbility to read, write, speak, analyze and interpret all forms of communication and business correspondence.\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the engineers.\nReasoning Ability\nAbility to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions and implement appropriate solutions.\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nComputer Skills\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have extensive knowledge of the following software programs:Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Outlook).\n\nWork Location and Eligibility Requirements\nThe Project Leader must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Carson, California, as the position requires regular on-site presence at the client’s facility.\nThe Project Leader must be U.S. citizen or U.S. lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder) due to potential involvement in export-controlled projects and activities.\nPhysical Demands and Working Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
