Job Description:

• A Resident Engineer to represent our company at one of our key OEM customers. 
• We are a plastics injection molding company, and we are looking for an experienced engineer who can work directly at the OEM site and serve as the technical and commercial link between the customer and our internal engineering, sales, and program teams. 
• The ideal candidate would have experience in plastics injection molding and/or automotive manufacturing, with a strong understanding of part design, tooling, molding processes, quality, and program management.
• The role will require someone who is comfortable working directly with OEM engineering and purchasing teams, resolving technical issues, supporting new product launches, and identifying opportunities to strengthen the customer relationship.

Key responsibilities would include:

• Acting as the primary product design engineering interface between our company and the OEM
• Supporting quoting, new business development, and cost-reduction initiatives
• Supporting product and process development from concept through production launch
• Maintaining strong day-to-day customer relationships
• Communicating customer requirements internally and driving timely resolution
• Coordinating design reviews, tooling, mold trials, and engineering changes if needed
• Troubleshooting molding, tooling, dimensional, and quality issues if needed
• Working closely with OEM engineering, purchasing, quality, and program teams
• We would ideally like someone with 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Preferably within automotive plastics, injection molding, tooling, or a Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier environment. 
• Strong communication, problem-solving, project management, and customer-facing skills are essential.
