We take pride in fostering a culture where employees feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.\nJob Description:\nA Resident Engineer to represent our company at one of our key OEM customers. \nWe are a plastics injection molding company, and we are looking for an experienced engineer who can work directly at the OEM site and serve as the technical and commercial link between the customer and our internal engineering, sales, and program teams. \nThe ideal candidate would have experience in plastics injection molding and/or automotive manufacturing, with a strong understanding of part design, tooling, molding processes, quality, and program management.\nThe role will require someone who is comfortable working directly with OEM engineering and purchasing teams, resolving technical issues, supporting new product launches, and identifying opportunities to strengthen the customer relationship.\nKey responsibilities would include:\nActing as the primary product design engineering interface between our company and the OEM\nSupporting quoting, new business development, and cost-reduction initiatives\nSupporting product and process development from concept through production launch\nMaintaining strong day-to-day customer relationships\nCommunicating customer requirements internally and driving timely resolution\nCoordinating design reviews, tooling, mold trials, and engineering changes if needed\nTroubleshooting molding, tooling, dimensional, and quality issues if needed\nWorking closely with OEM engineering, purchasing, quality, and program teams\nWe would ideally like someone with 5+ years of relevant engineering experience\nPreferably within automotive plastics, injection molding, tooling, or a Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier environment. \nStrong communication, problem-solving, project management, and customer-facing skills are essential.\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, genetic information, or pregnancy.\nPlease beware of job seeker scams and see this important notice on our careers page for more information about our recruiting process.\nCompliance Notice: Alten USA is a federal contractor subject to the requirements of the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Executive Order 11246.
