We take pride in fostering a culture where employees feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.\nAs a Senior Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for;\nSupporting the bring-up, characterization, validation, and integration of new printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for advanced electronic and analytical instrument platforms.\nReviewing and understanding existing PCBA designs, including schematics, component selection, layouts, and system interfaces.\nDeveloping and executing test plans to characterize and qualify digital and analog electronic hardware.\nPerforming hands-on troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis of prototype circuit boards and system-level hardware.\nIntegrating PCBAs into larger electromechanical and instrument-level systems while supporting overall product development efforts.\nDocumenting test results, engineering findings, and Theory of Operation documentation for released designs.\nImplementing design updates and supporting the release of qualified hardware into production.\nWorking closely with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve product performance.\nSupporting multiple new product development programs by adapting existing hardware architectures to meet evolving product requirements.\nUtilizing laboratory test equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, pulse generators, current probes, spectrum analyzers, and related diagnostic tools.\nQualifications;\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\nExperience with board-level hardware development, testing, debug, and integration.\nStrong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.\nHands-on experience troubleshooting electronic systems in a laboratory environment.\nAbility to develop and execute hardware validation, qualification, and characterization test plans.\nExperience interpreting electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and technical documentation.\nStrong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional engineering team.\nExperience with Altium Designer or similar PCB design tools preferred.\nKnowledge of PCB manufacturing, assembly processes, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Test (DFT) preferred.\nExperience with EMI/ESD design considerations and compliance best practices preferred.\nExperience with embedded processors, firmware integration, FPGA-based systems, or mixed-signal designs preferred.\nBackground in electronic product development, instrumentation, or electromechanical systems preferred.\nExperience creating schematics, PCB layouts, and bills of materials (BOMs) preferred.\nLocation: Hybrid in Boulder, CO (4 days in-office)\nSalary Range: $120K-$150K\nThe actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience \nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, genetic information, or pregnancy.\nPlease beware of job seeker scams and see this important notice on our careers page for more information about our recruiting process.\nCompliance Notice: Alten USA is a federal contractor subject to the requirements of the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Executive Order 11246.
