This role develops and implements maintenance strategies aligned with world-class manufacturing practices and lean principles to minimize equipment downtime, eliminate waste, and increase overall operational efficiency. The position also provides technical leadership across maintenance functions while promoting employee engagement, data-driven decision-making, and sustainable process improvements.\nThis position primarily supports first-shift operations; however, occasional support outside normal business hours is required to meet production and maintenance needs.\nKey Responsibilities\nDrive the implementation and continuous improvement of professional maintenance practices throughout the organization.\nDevelop and standardize maintenance processes, procedures, and best practices to improve equipment performance and reliability.\nAnalyze equipment performance using current and historical data to identify trends, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.\nCreate, review, maintain, and update technical drawings, documentation, and equipment records.\nEvaluate machine components and recommend lifecycle management strategies, repairs, or replacement plans.\nDevelop and support condition-based and predictive maintenance programs to improve asset performance.\nCreate, validate, and maintain standardized maintenance procedures and work instructions.\nLead initiatives that extend equipment life, improve machine reliability, and reduce maintenance-related losses.\nCoordinate with production, engineering, maintenance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of maintenance methods, systems, and tools.\nParticipate in continuous improvement projects that enhance safety, productivity, quality, and operational performance across the facility.\nPromote lean manufacturing principles and foster a culture focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nMinimum of five (5) years of engineering or maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.\nDemonstrated experience leading or supporting engineering projects involving mechanical, electrical, controls, or industrial systems.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with root cause analysis and data interpretation.\nKnowledge of preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance methodologies.\nExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or world-class manufacturing methodologies.\nAbility to influence change and drive process improvements across cross-functional teams.\nStrong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, customer-focused approach.\nSelf-motivated, resourceful, and committed to building positive working relationships while delivering measurable business results.\nSalary Range: $70,000-$85,000\nThe actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience \nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, genetic information, or pregnancy.\nPlease beware of job seeker scams and see this important notice on our careers page for more information about our recruiting process.\nCompliance Notice: Alten USA is a federal contractor subject to the requirements of the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Executive Order 11246.
