We take pride in fostering a culture where employees feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.\nAs Software Engineer - Teleoperation Systems you will be responsible for;\nDesign, develop, and optimize low-latency teleoperation systems for robotic platforms.\n\nImplement real-time control and communication pipelines between operators and robotic systems.\n\nDevelop software for remotely operated robotic manipulators, mobile robots, humanoids, or similar electromechanical systems.\n\nIntegrate VR, AR, or other immersive user interfaces into teleoperation workflows.\n\nBuild software interfaces that translate operator inputs into precise robotic motion.\n\nImprove system responsiveness, reliability, and overall operator experience.\n\nWork closely with robotics, perception, controls, and hardware engineering teams.\n\nDevelop simulation and testing environments for teleoperated robotic systems.\n\nTroubleshoot communication, networking, control, and latency-related challenges in distributed robotic systems.\n\nEvaluate and implement new technologies for human-in-the-loop robotic operation.\n\nQualifications;\nBS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.\n\nStrong software engineering experience in robotics, real-time systems, or distributed control systems.\n\nExperience developing teleoperation or remote-control systems.\n\nProficiency in C++ and/or Python.\n\nExperience with robotic control frameworks and middleware such as ROS/ROS2.\n\nUnderstanding of networking, latency optimization, and real-time communication protocols.\n\nExperience integrating robotic manipulators, mobile robots, or complex electromechanical systems.\n\nFamiliarity with motion control, kinematics, and robotic control architectures.\n\nPreferred Qualifications;\nExperience building teleoperation systems for:Robotic arms/manipulators\nMobile robots\nHumanoid robotics\nSurgical robotics\nIndustrial automation platforms\n\nExperience with VR/AR technologies and immersive control interfaces.\nKnowledge of haptic feedback systems and force-feedback controls.\nExperience with simulation environments such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Unity, or Unreal Engine.\nFamiliarity with video streaming, sensor fusion, and real-time perception systems.\nExperience optimizing systems for ultra-low-latency operation.\nBackground in autonomous systems and human-robot interaction.\nSalary Range: $110K-$150K\nThe actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience \nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, genetic information, or pregnancy.\nPlease beware of job seeker scams and see this important notice on our careers page for more information about our recruiting process.\nCompliance Notice: Alten USA is a federal contractor subject to the requirements of the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Executive Order 11246.
