This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities to ensure the reliability, security, compliance, and performance of laboratory systems and infrastructure.\nThe ideal candidate will have experience supporting laboratory applications, analytical instrumentation, LIMS platforms, network infrastructure, and data integrity initiatives while collaborating with laboratory scientists, quality teams, IT organizations, and external vendors. This individual will also provide technical leadership to junior engineers and technicians while driving continuous improvement across laboratory operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nLaboratory Systems & Application Support\nProvide administration, support, and lifecycle management for laboratory instrumentation and applications including HPLC, Unicorn, SoftMax Pro, Nephlometers, and other analytical platforms.\nSupport and maintain Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), including MyLab Data and related laboratory data management solutions.\nManage integration and support of laboratory peripherals, including printers and connected devices.\nTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues across L1, L2, and L3 support environments.\nCoordinate with vendors to address application, hardware, and instrument-related issues.\nInfrastructure & Data Management\nAdminister laboratory IT infrastructure, including client-server environments, databases, storage systems, and application hosting platforms.\nManage enterprise storage environments such as NetApp File Shares and ensure secure data access and retention.\nSupport network technologies including VLANs, firewalls, IP addressing, and communication protocols.\nEnsure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes are maintained and compliant with regulatory requirements.\nMonitor system performance and implement improvements to optimize reliability and availability.\nCompliance & Quality\nEnsure compliance with GxP regulations, including GMP, GLP, and GCP standards.\nPromote and enforce ALCOA+ data integrity principles across laboratory systems.\nSupport validation activities, change control processes, and audit readiness initiatives.\nMaintain technical documentation, SOPs, work instructions, system inventories, and compliance records.\nPartner with Quality Assurance teams to ensure systems remain inspection-ready.\nAutomation & Continuous Improvement\nDevelop and maintain PowerShell and Python automation solutions to improve laboratory workflows and operational efficiency.\nIdentify opportunities for process improvements and standardization.\nSupport digital transformation and laboratory automation initiatives.\nImplement best practices for system administration, monitoring, maintenance, and lifecycle management.\nLeadership & Collaboration\nLead and mentor laboratory IT engineers and technical support personnel.\nPrioritize work assignments and coordinate team activities to support laboratory operations.\nCollaborate with scientists, laboratory managers, QA teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver technical solutions.\nDrive knowledge sharing, process improvements, and effective issue resolution practices.\nServe as the primary technical resource for laboratory IT infrastructure and applications.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.\n7+ years of experience supporting laboratory IT systems in a regulated environment.\nStrong knowledge of GxP regulations, including GMP, GLP, GCP, and ALCOA+ principles.\nExperience administering LIMS platforms and laboratory data management systems.\nHands-on experience supporting analytical laboratory instruments and associated software applications.\nStrong understanding of databases, backup solutions, disaster recovery, and enterprise storage technologies.\nExperience with client-server environments, software licensing, application hosting, and access management.\nKnowledge of networking concepts including VLANs, firewalls, TCP/IP, and secure access controls.\nProficiency with PowerShell, Python, or other automation technologies.\nExperience troubleshooting complex technical issues across multiple support levels.\nStrong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nPrevious experience leading technical teams or mentoring junior staff.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting HPLC systems, SoftMax Pro, Unicorn, Nephlometers, and related laboratory applications.\nFamiliarity with NetApp storage environments.\nExperience with laboratory automation and Operational Technology (OT) systems.\nKnowledge of validation methodologies and computerized system validation (CSV).\nExperience supporting
