We take pride in fostering a culture where employees feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.\nNO CLIENT NAME\nAs a Technical Program Manager - Offshore Engineering and Sustaining Specialist you will be responsible for;\nKey Responsibilities\nOffshore Team Development and Coordination\nCoordinate day-to-day activities and priorities for the offshore sustaining engineering team in India.\nEstablish clear workflows, task assignments, deliverables, ownership, and reporting structures.\nTrack workload, resource allocation, project progress, dependencies, and open issues.\nSupport the continued development and scaling of offshore engineering capabilities.\nFacilitate collaboration between US-based engineering leaders, subject matter experts, and offshore contractors.\nKnowledge Transfer and Cross-Functional Collaboration\nCoordinate technical knowledge transfer between US and India engineering teams.\nEstablish documentation practices, knowledge-sharing sessions, and onboarding processes.\nEnsure offshore resources have access to the necessary technical documentation, tools, requirements, and engineering guidance.\nIdentify communication gaps and proactively resolve coordination challenges across time zones.\nBuild effective working relationships across engineering, quality, regulatory, operations, and other relevant functions.\nSustaining Engineering and Process Improvement\nSupport the planning and execution of sustaining engineering activities, including engineering changes, issue resolution, product maintenance, and documentation updates.\nMonitor project milestones, risks, blockers, and action items.\nImprove processes for work intake, prioritization, status reporting, and escalation.\nPromote compliance with applicable medical device quality systems, design controls, change management, and documentation requirements.\nDevelop metrics to measure offshore team performance, delivery predictability, and operational effectiveness.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.\n5+ years of experience in technical project/program management, engineering coordination, or technical operations.\nExperience coordinating distributed teams, offshore resources, or cross-site engineering activities.\nStrong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nExperience with project tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.\nAbility to manage competing priorities, identify risks, and drive action-item closure.\nWillingness to work flexible hours to support collaboration with teams in India.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in the MedTech, medical device, life sciences, or other regulated industry.\nFamiliarity with sustaining engineering, product lifecycle management (PLM), engineering change orders (ECOs), and configuration management.\nUnderstanding of medical device design controls, quality management systems, and documentation practices.\nExperience establishing or scaling offshore engineering teams.\nExperience facilitating technical onboarding, process standardization, and knowledge transfer.\nKey Success Metrics\nImproved coordination and predictable delivery of offshore engineering activities.\nClear ownership, priorities, and accountability across US and India teams.\nReduced delays caused by communication gaps or incomplete knowledge transfer.\nImproved documentation quality and consistency.\nA repeatable operational framework that supports future offshore team growth\nSalary Range: $125k-$145k\nThe actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience \nMANDATORY FOR ALL REMOTE/HYBRID AND/OR CALIFORNIA, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, HAWAII, COLORADO, MARYLAND, CONNECTICUT, ILLINOIS, MINNESOTA, VERMONT, MASSACHUSETTS, NEVADA, NEW YORK, RHODE ISLAND, WASHINGTON STATE & CINCINNATI, OHIO, JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY, TOLEDO, OHIO BASED ROLES. \nNote: Due to the nature of the work, only US Persons (citizens or permanent residents) need apply for this position. - OPTIONAL \nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, genetic information, or pregnancy.\nPlease beware of job seeker scams and see this important notice on our careers page for more information about our recruiting process.\nCompliance Notice: Alten USA is a federal contractor subject to the requirements of the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Executive Order 11246.
