Friday, Remote.\nLocation: Long Beach, CA\nSalary: $130-150k\nThe Sensor Integration Design and Release Engineer will lead design and release of ADAS sensor hardware integration from concept through vehicle launch. The role ensures that sensor placement, mounting, protection, interfaces, and vehicle packaging support required system performance and production requirements.\nResponsibilities: \n\nDevelop and release hardware integration for ADAS sensors and related components across vehicle programs.\n\nDefine sensor mounting locations, brackets, interfaces, packaging, and design requirements in coordination with system and vehicle teams.\n\nCoordinate concept development, design maturation, supplier activity, tooling, verification, and launch.\n\nAssess impacts of mounting geometry, alignment, tolerances, vibration, temperature, contamination, and surrounding vehicle features.\n\nCoordinate integration with body, exterior trim, glazing, lighting, electrical, and other vehicle systems.\n\nDevelop and maintain DFMEAs and support validation planning, test execution, and issue closure.\n\nMaintain product definition, changes, and release data in 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX).\n\nSupport vehicle builds, calibration-related integration activities, manufacturing readiness, and production launch.\nRequired Skills:\n\nExperience with ADAS systems and automotive sensor hardware integration from concept through launch.\n\nWorking knowledge of 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX), DFMEA, and engineering release processes.\n\nAbility to coordinate with systems engineering, packaging, suppliers, validation, and vehicle teams.\n\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.\nBonus Skills:\n\nFamiliarity with camera, radar, ultrasonic, lidar, or other vehicle sensing technologies relevant to the program.\n\nUnderstanding of sensor fields of view, mounting alignment, tolerance sensitivity, calibration access, and vehicle-level packaging.\n\nKnowledge of sensor performance considerations such as vibration, thermal exposure, electromagnetic compatibility, and obstruction or contamination.\n\nExperience with brackets, housings, radomes, fascia or grille integration, sensor covers, and related materials or manufacturing processes.\n\nFamiliarity with validation and calibration workflows, design verification, and production integration.\nSalary Range\n\n$130,000-$150,000\n\nThe actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience \nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, genetic information, or pregnancy.\nPlease beware of job seeker scams and see this important notice on our careers page for more information about our recruiting process.\nCompliance Notice: Alten USA is a federal contractor subject to the requirements of the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Executive Order 11246.
