Someone who rolls up their sleeves, digs into complex infrastructure problems, and owns them through to resolution. You will be part of a team operating mission-critical environments in the financial services sector where uptime, speed, and precision are non-negotiable.\nThis is a hands-on role. You will be troubleshooting, building, improving, and maintaining infrastructure day to day, working under pressure, adapting quickly to change, and taking full ownership of the platforms you touch.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOperate, maintain, and continuously improve on-premises and cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.\nDiagnose and resolve complex infrastructure incidents quickly and effectively, you are the person who finds the root cause and fixes it.\nImplement infrastructure changes, upgrades, and improvements following change management processes in a regulated environment.\nBuild and maintain hybrid cloud connectivity between datacenters and cloud platforms.\nConfigure and manage high availability and disaster recovery mechanisms, ensuring RTO/RPO targets are always met.\nManage and improve Citrix, VMware virtualisation environments, SAN/NAS storage, and backup/recovery platforms.\nWork with container platforms: deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain Kubernetes and OpenShift workloads.\nEnforce security controls across infrastructure - network segmentation, Zero Trust, IAM, PAM, MFA and remediate vulnerabilities.\nAutomate repetitive operational tasks using scripting and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).\nMonitor infrastructure health, respond to alerts, and drive proactive capacity and performance improvements.\nCollaborate with architecture, security, and application teams to implement technical requirements correctly and on time.\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise infrastructure in production environments.\nProven experience working in mission-critical, high-availability environments - financial services or similarly regulated sectors a strong plus.\nStrong practical experience with AWS infrastructure: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, CloudWatch you have built and fixed things there, not just read about them.\nSolid working knowledge of Azure and familiarity with GCP.\nHeavy hands-on experience with Citrix distributed environments, Nutanix HCI and VMware vSphere/ESXi.\nWorking knowledge of networking: VLANs, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, VPN, and hybrid connectivity.\nExperience managing Active Directory, Entra ID, IAM, PAM, SSO, and MFA.\nAbility to work under pressure, prioritise competing demands, and make sound decisions fast.\nGood-to-have scripting and automation: Bash, Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or Ansible.\nDegree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent hands-on background.\nNice to Have\nAWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional or Azure Administrator certification.\nNutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or VMware VCP.\nKubernetes CKA certification.\nExperience with monitoring stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace, or similar.\nKnowledge of ITIL practices applied in a real operational context.\nExposure to AIOps or AI-assisted monitoring tools.\nExperience with DORA or GDPR compliance requirements.\nYour Profile\nAction-oriented - you don't wait to be told twice and you follow through.
