continuous security improvement.\nMicrosoft Defender Security Platform Engineering\nAdminister, configure, and optimize the Microsoft Defender Security suite, including: \nMicrosoft Defender for Endpoint \nMicrosoft Defender for Office 365 \nMicrosoft Defender for Identity \nMicrosoft Defender for Cloud Apps \nMicrosoft Defender Vulnerability Management \nMicrosoft Defender XDR \nMicrosoft Defender for Cloud \nDevelop and maintain endpoint protection policies, threat detection capabilities, attack surface reduction controls, and automated response workflows. \nMonitor platform health, security coverage, incidents, alerts, and detection effectiveness. \nConfigure and maintain endpoint protection, endpoint detection and response (EDR), device control, web protection, email security, identity protection, and cloud application security controls. \nImprove threat detection fidelity while reducing false positives and operational overhead. \nSupport threat hunting, incident investigation, and remediation activities. \nLead security onboarding efforts for new business units, applications, and technologies. \nData Loss Prevention (Microsoft Purview)\nDesign, implement, and administer Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention controls across: \nEndpoints \nMicrosoft 365 \nExchange Online \nSharePoint Online \nOneDrive \nMicrosoft Teams \nCloud applications \nDevelop and maintain DLP policies protecting intellectual property, confidential data, regulated information, and business-critical assets. \nSupport data classification, sensitivity labeling, encryption, retention, and information protection programs. \nMonitor policy violations, investigate incidents, and coordinate remediation activities. \nPartner with business stakeholders to align data protection controls with operational requirements. \nDevelop reporting and analytics related to DLP effectiveness, violations, trends, and risk exposure. \nContinuously optimize policy tuning, exception management, and user experience. \nData Security Posture Management (DSPM)\nSecuriti.ai Administration and Governance\nAdminister and optimize the Securiti.ai platform to identify, classify, monitor, and secure sensitive enterprise data. \nSupport enterprise-wide data discovery initiatives across: \nStructured and unstructured data repositories \nCloud storage platforms \nCollaboration environments \nEnterprise applications \nData lakes and databases \nMonitor data security posture and identify risks involving: \nSensitive data exposure \nData overexposure \nExcessive permissions \nData residency concerns \nRegulatory compliance gaps \nDevelop remediation plans for identified data security risks. \nPartner with data owners, information governance teams, privacy teams, and security stakeholders to improve overall data protection maturity. \nSupport continuous compliance initiatives related to data governance and security requirements. \nSecurity Operations and Incident Response\nMonitor and triage endpoint and data security alerts generated through Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, and Securiti.ai. \nAssess security events to determine potential impact to endpoint, data, and information protection controls. \nCollaborate with SOC and Incident Response teams by providing platform expertise, investigation support, relevant telemetry, and technical context. \nSupport incident investigations and remediation activities for events within the Endpoint and Data Security team’s remit. \nAssist with containment, recovery, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions as directed by SOC or Incident Response leadership. \nAnalyze recurring alerts, attack trends, policy violations, and control gaps to recommend improvements across Defender, Purview DLP, and Securiti.ai. \nSecurity Engineering, Governance & Compliance\nEstablish security standards, procedures, and technical controls supporting endpoint and data protection programs. \nSupport security audits, assessments, customer assurance reviews, and regulatory compliance initiatives. \nMaintain documentation, control evidence, security baselines, and operational procedures. \nTrack remediation plans, exceptions, findings, and risk acceptance decisions. \nContribute to Zero Trust security initiatives and enterprise security transformation efforts. \nMetrics, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement\nDevelop dashboards and reporting covering:\nDefender security coverage and protection health \nEndpoint compliance and device risk scores \nVulnerability remediation performance \nDLP incidents and policy violations \nData classification coverage \nSensitive data discovery metrics \nDSPM posture findings \nExcessive access and data exposure risks \nSecurity incident trends \nControl effectiveness and adoption metrics \nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to increase visibility, reduce risk, improve automation, and strengthen overall security posture. \nSalary Range\nThe pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.\n$133,200 - $192,825 USD\nWe use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, or select applicants for the position.
