In this position, you will be joining the Software Validation and Customer Experience Group as an FPGA design applications engineer specializing in Quartus Software tools and example design solutions. You will help revolutionize our customer experience by using your design knowledge and leveraging our FPGA software and AI tools to reduce cycle time.\nA successful candidate is an FPGA designer who has hands-on experience with FPGA design software and knows how to design, simulate and debug FPGA designs.\nYour responsibilities will include but not be limited to:\nCreating example designs that showcase our product and teach customers how to use our software tools. \nResponding to customer technical questions, debugging and reproducing customer issues, and driving issue resolution with the engineering organization and customers. \nReviewing specifications and requirements, performing product evaluations, and providing feedback on ease of use. \nDefining and developing example designs and unit tests and performing checkout to ensure the readiness of feature releases. \nReviewing product requirements and designing a best-in-class customer journey by identifying assets, use cases, user personas and touchpoints (web, git repository, forums etc.). \nDeveloping technical assets such as user guides, application notes, example designs, demos and training that will enable users to successfully design with our products. \nCreating AI skills and agents to reduce customer design time. \nThe pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.\n$133.2K - $212.7K USD\nWe use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, or select applicants for the position. Applicants must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations.\nQualifications:\nMinimum Qualifications\nA successful candidate should possess a Masters of Science degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Science degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering with a minimum five years of related applications engineering or system design experience.\nMinimum qualifications include:\nExperience with FPGA Design Software tools and common third-party simulators\nExperience with debugging and using signal analysis tools \nExperience with creating FPGA designs including minimal software (BareMetal)\nExperience working with FPGA development boards or similar \nPreferred qualifications include:\nExperience with Power and Thermal Analysis \nFamiliarity with GitHub workflows and Visual Studio Code\nExperience with using AI tools and creating skills\nExperience creating FPGA designs that include PCIe or SoC, including basic software\nJob
