Reporting directly to the VP, Finance Strategy & Operations, we are looking for a forward-thinking, innovation-driven leader who embraces technology and continuous improvement to transform our global payroll operations.\nThis role will drive AI-enabled process innovation, leveraging platforms like Workday HR, ADP Workforce Now and Celergo, and emerging automation tools to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.\nThis leader will serve as a strategic partner to HR, Finance, Legal, and Technology, ensuring global payroll is compliant, employee-centric, and continuously evolving through technology and intelligent automation.\nKey Responsibilities:\nEnsure accurate and timely processing of the Company’s payroll in 15+ countries, in accordance with global policies, procedures, and legislative compliance requirements (including tax and labor laws).\nPartner with HR and our Transformation Office to enhance automation between Workday HRIS and ADP and other third party benefit providers to streamline processes and improve payroll accuracy. \nLead the evaluation, adoption, and implementation of AI tools and advanced automation tools to streamline payroll processing, error detection, and reporting.\nManage setup of payroll for newly established entities and support expansion into new regions, including integration of payroll systems through M&A activities.\nFoster a culture of innovation and excellence within the payroll team; identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and process re-engineering.\nProvide prompt, friendly, and efficient customer service to employees and ensure payroll issues are escalated and resolved, including AI-enabled root cause analysis and predictive solutions.\nMotivate and develop a high-functioning global payroll team, instilling best practices and promoting continuous learning.\nReport executive KPI’s to the CFO on key payroll metrics. \nEnhance and maintain robust internal controls, including adoption of AI-supported anomaly detection and compliance checks.\nOversee department structure and workload to maximize efficiency.\nMonitor and implement changes in global payroll legislation, proactively updating systems and processes accordingly.\nEnsure timely and accurate filing of required payroll returns and issuance of W-2 and equivalent forms.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, HR, Finance, or a related field.\nCertified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.\n10+ years of over payroll experience with 5+ years of leadership experience in a global company.\nDemonstrated experience with global expansion, payroll setup, and M&A integrations.\nStrong technical knowledge of global tax, reporting, and payroll compliance.\nDeep experience with ADP Workforce Now and Celergo and Workday HRIS;\nDemonstrated success leading payroll transformation initiatives, including intelligent automation, finance outsourcing, and AI adoption.\nStrong leadership skills with a willingness to take a hands-on approach as needed.\nProven excellence in customer service, team development, and operational delivery.\nExperience driving change management and digital transformation in a global setting.\nCompensation:\nAlteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation.
