Our team builds and operates foundational services that enable secure, reliable communication between Alteryx Cloud, data planes, and customer environments. Our work includes Data Bridge, which enables customers to securely access private data sources, along with shared platform services for connectivity, networking, registration, and\norchestration across distributed cloud environments.\nThis is a hands-on, backend-focused engineering role, primarily developing services and APIs in Go, with some opportunities to contribute to frontend applications using TypeScript and React.\nYou'll collaborate with experienced engineers, contribute to technical decisions, and take ownership of features and improvements from development through production.\nThis is a remote-friendly role.\n\nKey Responsibiliti es\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain backend services, APIs, and distributed systems, primarily using Go.\nBuild and improve secure connectivity solutions involving service registration,\norchestration, routing, and proxy/relay-based communication.\nOwn well-defined features and enhancements through implementation, testing,\ndeployment, and production support.\nDevelop and maintain cloud-native services running in AWS and GCP, with a focus on reliability, security, and scalability.\nContribute to frontend applications and platform management experiences using TypeScript and React when needed.\nInvestigate and troubleshoot issues across application code, cloud infrastructure, and networking components.\nImprove automated testing, monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational tooling. Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews while collaborating with Product, Infrastructure, Security, and other engineering teams.\nParticipate in an on-call rotation after onboarding, helping maintain production reliability and address recurring issues.\nRequired Qualification s\n2+ years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent relevant experience.\nExperience building backend services and REST APIs using Go or a comparable backend language, with the ability to become productive in Go.\nStrong software engineering fundamentals, including debugging, automated testing, and writing clean, maintainable code.\nFamiliarity with distributed systems, microservices, and service-to-service communication.\nUnderstanding of networking fundamentals, including HTTP/TLS, TCP/IP, DNS, and client-server communication.\nExperience developing or deploying applications in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or similar platforms.\nExperience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software\ndevelopment practices.\nStrong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to independently deliver\nscoped work while collaborating with a team.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with TypeScript, React, or similar frontend technologies.\nExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, or other cloud-native tooling.\nFamiliarity with cloud networking, private connectivity, proxies, gateways, or secure tunneling.\nExposure to event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka, Redis, or Pub/Sub.\nFamiliarity with observability tools such as Datadog, metrics, logging, and distributed tracing.\nUnderstanding of security concepts such as authentication, certificates, secrets management, and encryption.\nExperience troubleshooting production services, participating in on-call rotations, or improving system reliability.\nAlteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation.
