We're always looking for passionate, driven professionals who want to make a meaningful impact, grow their careers, and be part of a collaborative team committed to excellence.\nPosition Summary \nThe Billing Associate is responsible for timely and accurate front-end billing execution for assigned accounts, including claim intake and scrubbing, coordination with coding teams, and billing charge entry and release. This role focuses on accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established processes. As the front end of operations, the Billing Associate serves as the first line of defense in ensuring claims are complete and accurate, setting clients up for success by driving claim processing, payer response, and reimbursement outcomes. \nKey Responsibilities \nAccount Setup \nConduct claim intake for assigned new accounts \nEnsure claims are complete and required documentation is validated prior to requesting coding \nRoute claims to coding teams, ensuring coding is completed in a timely manner \nRelease charges upon completion of coding and validation steps \nConduct billing setup, including billing rule configuration and workflow alignment for newly onboarded accounts \nProperly introduce support teams to account for transition to live maintenence \nAccount Maintenance \nMaintain accurate billing rules and account details within internal systems \nEnsure that the claim intake, demographics, coding, and charge release processes are running smoothly for all assigned accounts \nMontior account trends relating to claim intake, demographics, coding, and charge release \nAdhere to defined workflows, timelines, and quality standards \nOwn billing related clients’ external (and internal) chats and emails and respond to all billing related items \nServe as the main point of contact for the follow up team & other departments in regard to billing related issues and inquiries \nSupervise billing for higher level claims & corrected claims \nReview claims over 75 days from date of service daily and drive them toward resolution and claim release. \nCommunication & Escalation Management \nResolve standard internal billing questions from support teams and flag issues requiring further review to the Billing Support Team Manager \nEscalate to management and support resolution for unresolved, systemic, or reoccurring issues with clear documentation, and supporting details. \nCommunicate with clients regarding missing information and basic processing issues \nKey Performance Indicators \nZero Billable Claims missed timely filing \nAll Claims to be billed at 30 days from client upload \nGAP cases captured properly \n98% accuracy rate on billing output - new claims, and subsequent claims \nResolve billing delays, claim holds, missing information, and workflow barriers within 24 hours whenever possible. \nExternal escalations sent within 1-2 days of identification \nSLA adherence across assigned accounts \nExperience & Requirements \nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred \n0-2 years of experience in physician collections, A/R follow-up, and denial management \nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with reporting and data analysis tools preferred \nProven ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment \nStrong communication and interpersonal skills \nAdditional Qualifications \nExceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. \nAbility to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment \nDemonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-driven approach \nPay Range\n$50,000—$65,000 USD\nBenefits\nAlteva RCM offers our employees a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, employee assistance plan, paid family leave, short-term disability and life insurance.
