The role requires strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server administration, VMware virtualization, Hyper-V, Linux systems, Azure and AWS infrastructure, server performance troubleshooting, patch management, and ITIL-based support processes.\n\nThe ideal candidate should have hands-on experience troubleshooting complex production server issues, analyzing memory dumps, working with Windows OS architecture, and supporting enterprise infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud platforms.\n\nKey Responsibilities :\n\nWindows Server Administration :\n\n- Administer and support Microsoft Windows Server environments including Windows Server 2008, 2012, and 2016.\n\n- Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of Windows production servers.\n\n- Troubleshoot critical server issues including server crashes, no-boot conditions, memory leaks, sluggish performance, and unresponsive servers.\n\n- Analyze CPU, memory, disk, registry, BIOS, DNS, DHCP, and other operating-system-level issues.\n\n- Troubleshoot Windows services, system resources, event logs, drivers, and operating-system components.\n\n- Perform advanced troubleshooting across User Mode and Kernel Mode environments.\n\n- Analyze and configure Windows memory dumps to identify root causes of system failures and performance issues.\n\n- Apply strong knowledge of Windows Operating System architecture to resolve complex infrastructure problems.\n\n- Work extensively with Windows Registry and troubleshoot issues related to registry keys and configurations.\n\nVMware & Virtualization :\n\n- Administer VMware environments including ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN.\n\n- Manage and troubleshoot virtual machines, hosts, clusters, resource allocation, and virtual infrastructure.\n\n- Support VMware availability and disaster recovery technologies including Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and vMSC.\n\n- Perform troubleshooting of virtualization-related performance, availability, and connectivity issues.\n\n- Manage Microsoft Hyper-V and System Center environments.\n\n- Monitor virtual infrastructure performance and identify resource bottlenecks.\n\n- Support VM provisioning, configuration, migration, capacity management, and lifecycle activities.\n\nCloud Infrastructure Azure & AWS :\n\n- Support enterprise infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure and AWS platforms.\n\n- Strong understanding of Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services.\n\n- Troubleshoot Windows Server performance and availability issues running on Azure and AWS.\n\n- Support cloud-based virtual machines, networking, storage, compute, and related infrastructure services.\n\n- Monitor and troubleshoot resource utilization, connectivity, performance, and availability across cloud environments.\n\n- Participate in cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, and optimization initiatives.\n\n- Apply enterprise infrastructure best practices across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.\n\nLinux Administration :\n\n- Support Linux operating systems including RHEL, SLES, CentOS, and similar distributions.\n\n- Perform basic to advanced troubleshooting of Linux server performance, availability, and system issues.\n\n- Work with system resources, processes, services, storage, networking, and operating-system configurations.\n\n- Support Linux systems within on-premises, virtualized, and cloud environments.\n\nServer Performance & Advanced Troubleshooting :\n\n- Diagnose complex Windows production server performance issues and identify root causes.\n\n- Troubleshoot CPU, memory, storage, network, and operating-system bottlenecks.\n\n- Analyze system crashes, blue screens, memory leaks, application hangs, and unresponsive servers.\n\n- Analyze Windows memory dumps and crash dumps using appropriate troubleshooting techniques.\n\n- Investigate recurring performance issues and provide permanent corrective actions.\n\n- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for critical infrastructure incidents.\n\n- Document troubleshooting procedures, findings, and resolutions for recurring issues.\n\n- Collaborate with application, database, network, security, and cloud teams for cross-functional problem resolution.\n\nInfrastructure Security & Compliance :\n\n- Manage antivirus and endpoint protection requirements for server environments.\n\n- Perform operating-system patching and vulnerability remediation activities.\n\n- Support compliance requirements related to server configuration, patching, access, and infrastructure security.\n\n- Ensure servers adhere to organizational security and hardening standards.\n\n- Coordinate patching activities across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.\n\n- Monitor infrastructure health and address security and compliance gaps.\n\nStorage & Database Support :\n\n- Support enterprise server storage environments and troubleshoot storage-related performance issues.\n\n- Monitor disk utilization, capacity, I/O performance, and storage availability.\n\n- Possess working knowledge of MS SQL and MySQL environments.\n\n- Collaborate with database teams to troubleshoot infrastructure-related database performance and connectivity issues.\n\nPowerShell & Automation :\n\n- Develop and execute PowerShell scripts for system administration and infrastructure support.\n\n- Automate routine server administration, monitoring, health checks, configuration, and troubleshooting activities.\n\n- Create scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce repetitive manual activities.\n\nITIL & Service Management :\n\n- Follow ITIL-based processes for Incident, Problem, and Change Management.\n\n- Handle production incidents according to defined SLAs and operational procedures.\n\n- Perform root cause analysis for recurring and high-severity incidents.\n\n- Participate in change planning, implementation, validation, and post-change reviews.\n\n- Maintain accurate incident, problem, change, and knowledge documentation.\n\n- Participate in on-call and production support activities as required.\n\nRequired Technical Skills :\n\n- Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
