The responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:\nAccount/territory management, financial merchandising and prospect for new business\nCreate and execute a plan to generate and maintain sales of capital material handling equipment to industrial customers\nMeet quota objectives provided by sales management\nAbility to use effective time and territory management skills\nPersonal visits to customer’s applications to identify opportunities\nEffective use of direct mail, phone and electronic media to communicate with prospects and customers\nMust be able to develop and present written proposals to solve customers’ needs\nEffectively present at the customers’ location in front of a group and show the benefits of your products and services\nActively participate in the use and expansion of the companies CRM program\nExecute planned sales calls\nParticipate in sales training and use tools provided to educate on your own various products and services offered by the company\nReview open proposals with sales management and request management participation in customer sales calls when necessary\nTurn in complete orders to sales administration and review orders for accuracy\nAbility to demonstrate products at the customer’s location\nCoordinate with all departments sales strategies that exceed customers’ expectations\nOffer customized financing packages to meet each customer’s unique requirements\nIncorporates Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities\nPerforms other duties as assigned\n\nDesired Skills and Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience\n2 years of business-to-business sales experience\nPossess excellent verbal and written communication skills\nFast paced, high energy individual with an aggressive sales style\nMust have valid driver’s license, clean driving record and automobile insurance\nComputer programs - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook\nLanguage Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.\nMathematical Skills - Intermediate: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.\nReasoning Ability - High: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
