As an Associate, you’ll identify, engage, and recruit industry experts whose insights help fuel our research and help clients uncover information they cannot access elsewhere. This is a frontline role: you’ll be on the phone and in your inbox daily, building relationships with some of the most interesting people across the fastest-growing, AI-native startups in the world. You won’t be filing reports. You’ll be building a network.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nYou’re early in your career but not early in your ambition. You’ve spent 1-3 years in a role that required you to hustle - sales, business development, recruiting, consulting, or something in between. You know how to pick up the phone, take initiative, and follow through. You’ll thrive here if you:\nAre energized by working toward goals on a tight timeline\n\nCan quickly earn trust with sophisticated, high-caliber professionals\n\nAre naturally curious about AI, startups, and venture capital, and want to understand the ecosystem deeply\n\nOperate with urgency and take ownership of outcomes, not just activity\n\nAre organized enough to manage a pipeline without losing the human side of relationship building\n\nBring humility and an eagerness to learn\n\nWhat You’ll Do\nSource and identify industry experts whose backgrounds match the needs of each research project\n\nRun high-volume outreach by phone and email to engage and recruit experts on tight timelines\n\nQualify experts and schedule them into client conversations, managing logistics end to end\n\nMaintain an organized pipeline of prospects, keeping follow-through tight so opportunities don’t go cold\n\nBuild lasting relationships with experts so they return for future research\n\nRequirements\n1-3 years of experience in a client-facing or outbound role (investment research, expert networks, recruiting, BD, or similar)\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n\nTrack record of hitting targets in a metrics-driven environment\n\nBachelor’s degree\n\nAuthorization to work in the United States\n\nBonus points for:\nExperience managing external stakeholders in prior roles\n\nFamiliarity with expert network or knowledge services businesses (AlphaSights, GLG, Tegus, etc.)\n\nExisting relationships in VC, PE, or operator communities\n\nCompensation & Benefits\n$110,000-$130,000 on target earnings\n\nMeaningful ownership from day 1 - pre-Series A stock options struck at today's early-stage valuation, so you share directly in the upside you help build\n\n100% employer-paid health benefits\n\n401K program\n\nFree lunch daily in-office\n\nNew York City - in-office 4 days/week\n\nWhy Join Altis\nWe view the Associate position as a career-defining launchpad, not just a starting point.
