If you are not an active member of the US military, your resume will NOT be considered.**The objective of the Altium Packaging DOD SkillBridge program is to provide service members with opportunities to successfully transition into the civilian workforce, and to develop a robust talent pipeline within our manufacturing network.
As a fully competent Industrial Maintenance Technician, the incumbent will perform repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, plant blow mold equipment, and facility systems. They are also responsible for adhering to the company's Good Manufacturing Practices and implementing the industry’s best practices in maintenance operations.
Job Description
Industrial Maintenance Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.
- Install, adjust, and repair blow mold, trimmers, palletizer, material handling equipmentand other related equipment.
- Perform mold, neck tooling changes, pin, and other equipment changes.
- Replace motors and basic instrumentation
- Inspect and replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses.
- Inspect, rebuild, and replace valves and pumps.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all related equipment.
- Maintainmachines in optimalprocessing conditions.
- Troubleshoot, identifyroot causes to problems, and repair blow mold, baggers, and support equipment.
- Able to operateforklifts, scissor lifts, boom liftsand other related equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair onfacility systems such as compressors, chillers, HVAC, and related equipment, including building maintenance.
- May operateblow mold or injection machines.
- Communicate with other departments on a frequent basis.
- Duties may differentiate by plant based on equipment and plant design.
- Role is part of an operating team, which includes attending shift start meetings and participatingin team workprocesses.
- May interact with contractors, vendorsand external support personnel.
- Receives instructions on specific job tasks by Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician or
Supervisor.
- Other duties asassigned by management.
- Assistanceis furnished withunusual problems, and work is reviewed for applicationof sound professional judgment.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Utilizea Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan, schedule, track, and execute 100% of maintenance activities.
- Apply continuous improvement tools and methodologies to reduce maintenance-related losses including equipment downtime, breakdowns, and maintenance costs.
- Support initiatives and projects to improve equipment availability and reliability through data-driven maintenance strategies.

MinimumRequirements:
- Basic mathematical skills
- Basic computer skills
- Basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
- Excellent attention to detail
Preferred:
- 2+ yearsmaintenance experience, specifically in the manufacturing industry
- Prior welding and fabrication experience
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education
- OSHA Forklift certification

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a production environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is requiredin the production department and other designated areas.

Learn to troubleshootthe chiller/cooler systems and become acquainted with the automation/robotic systems of the plant
Packaging Training
Learn to troubleshoot the baggers, case erectors, case date coder, sleever, Flammer, and pick nplace. Learn how to replace grinder blades
Electrical Arc Flash Training
Recognize hazards and use safety measures to prevent electrical accidents.

Rebuild Training
Rebuild Bagger Seal Bars and SleeverClamps
