We specialize in customized mid- and short-run packaging solutions and serve a diverse customer base in the pharmaceutical, dairy, household chemicals, food/nutraceuticals, industrial/specialty chemicals, water, and beverage/juice segments.\nDue to continued growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Extrusion Machine Operator in Reidsville, NC. As a Machine Operator, you will operate extruder, blow mold, grinder and trimmer machines, as well as the conveyor system. You will also troubleshoot process problems and perform minor maintenance to ensure continued operation of the production line.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nOperate blow-mold machines (including wheels, reciprocating, or shuttle machines) to ensure production of quality bottles\nPerform audits, weights, and quality checks\nAdhere to quality control, blow mold process procedure, and Good Manufacturing Practices\nMake adjustments to meet product specifications\nRepair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines\nAssist with preventive maintenance, mold, neck and blow pin, and other mechanical changes\nGrind excess bottles and material\nTroubleshoot and resolve process problems\nPrepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs\nPrepare and document daily reports, including rejects, regrinds, and line efficiencies\nREQUIREMENTS:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n3 years’ experience as a machine operator\n2 years' experience as an extruder operator, preferred\nWorking knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery & measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)\nStrong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills\nBasic English & Math skills\nMachine troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience \nAbility to read blueprints, schematics and manuals\nAbility to work overtime\nPhysical stamina and strength/able to stand for long periods of time \nTRAINING:\nCompletion of Altium Machine Operator 1 training within 90-days of hire date\nMust be able to train on days, if needed\nBENEFITS:\nReasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
