Monitoring both departments ensuring they are operating for efficiently and safely, while ensuring all applicable regulatory requirements are met.\nWORK ACTIVITIES:\nPerformance Management\nPreventive Maintenance scheduling/Tracking\nInfluence Others\nTrack Plant Performance\nInterpret Information\nCommunicate with Customers, Directors, Managers, Supervisors and Other Personnel\nScheduling\nOrganizing, Planning and Prioritizing Work\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nChampion a safety culture, ensure a safe work environment and cultivate safe behavior.\nDirect and coordinate activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as blow mold machine operators, maintenance mechanics, quality inspectors and warehouse workers.\nEstablish process to ensure technicians respond quickly to mechanical needs.\nOrganize and plan the routine preventive maintenance of blow mold and packaging machines and conveyor systems.\nExecute production schedules to meet company and customer requirements.\nProvide guidance and direction to shift leaders to ensure timely and efficient plant operations.\nMaintain procedures for accurate inventory of finished goods and raw materials.\nInterview employment candidates and authorize personnel hires. Authorize employment actions of plant personnel.\nLead problem-solving and process improvement with the plant and customer to achieve resolution and elimination of product issues.\nProvide for successful new product launches by ensuring clear specification development, process capability definition, and attainment of customer satisfaction on initial shipments.\nAudit facility for compliance with GMP standards and maintain plant in compliance with corporate quality requirements.\nProvide guidelines to ensure timely repair and efficient predictive and preventive maintenance of equipment and machinery.\nRoutinely monitor shift and individual machine performance reports and processes to ensure effective operations.\nDevelop and improve the knowledge and skills of immediate staff and hourly personnel; maintain training and development documentation.\nDrive execution of assigned projects to ensure accurate and timely completion.\nOther duties as assigned by plant management.\nReasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.\n\n Skills and requirements\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or in operations management\nFive to seven years of experience in production management in a manufacturing environment\nExperience of working with an integrated management system (ERP);\nBilingual\nProficient in using the Office suite, good IT skills\nVerbal and written communication skills in French and English to intermediary level.\nInspirational leadership skills\nChange management experience\nChampion a culture of continuous improvement, health and safety and quality\nCapacity to manage several files simultaneously\nAble to work independently and attention to detail\nAltium Packaging, Our Culture Differentiates Us!\n\nWe incorporate our Guiding Principles into all aspects and at all levels of the organization and use them as a framework for decision-making.
