Our mission is to be Australia's market leader in supporting people on their wellbeing journey.\nAbout the role\nAre you passionate about helping people recover from injury and achieve a safe, sustainable return to work?\nAs a Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator, you'll play an important role in supporting injured workers throughout their recovery journey while partnering with employers to create positive outcomes for workers and businesses alike.\nYou'll coordinate return to work programs, identify suitable duties and work collaboratively with employers, treating practitioners and other stakeholders to overcome barriers and facilitate successful recovery at work.\nThrough your work, you'll help to:\nSupport safe and sustainable returns to work.\nMinimise the impact of workplace injuries and lost time on businesses.\nHelp employers manage workers compensation claims and meet their legislative obligations.\nWhat you'll be doing\nYour day-to-day responsibilities will include:\nCoordinating early intervention activities following an initial notification or referral.\nSupporting workers throughout their recovery and return to work journey.\nPartnering with employers to identify suitable duties and develop graded return to work plans in line with medical recommendations.\nPreparing, monitoring and reviewing recovery at work plans.\nLiaising with treating practitioners, employers, insurers and other key stakeholders.\nImplementing and maintaining workplace return to work programs.\nAttending case conferences and contributing to effective claim management strategies.\nIdentifying barriers to recovery and developing practical strategies to achieve positive outcomes.\nEducating employers on their legislative and compliance responsibilities.\nContributing to continuous improvements in policies, processes and systems.\nManaging wage reimbursement processes, billing, reporting and associated administration as required.\nWhat you'll bring\nWe're looking for someone who combines a genuine passion for helping people with strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.\nIdeally, you'll have:\nA Return to Work Coordinator certification or similar qualification.\nAt least six months' experience in workplace rehabilitation, return to work coordination or a related field, with one to two or more years' experience highly regarded.\nExperience as a Rehabilitation Consultant or in a similar role will be particularly valuable.\nAn understanding of injury management principles and return to work practices.\nKnowledge of workers compensation legislation and regulations, highly regarded but not essential.\nYou'll also bring:\nStrong stakeholder engagement, influencing and negotiation skills.\nA strategic and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.\nExcellent attention to detail and organisational skills.\nThe ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously and contribute positively to a collaborative team.\nStrong interpersonal skills and a commitment to achieving safe, sustainable return to work outcomes.\nWhy join Altius Group?\nAt Altius, you'll be part of a team that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of people, workplaces and communities.
