Our client, a boutique hospitality company is seeking an experienced Social Sales Manager for a distinctive Northern California hotel and event destination.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated hospitality sales professional who enjoys developing new business, building lasting client relationships, and selling memorable weddings, social events, corporate retreats, and group experiences.
The Social Sales Manager will be responsible for generating new business while managing existing accounts and inbound opportunities. The ideal candidate combines strong sales instincts with the organization and attention to detail required to successfully transition business from initial inquiry through event execution.
Requirements
Proactively prospect and develop new wedding, social, group, retreat, and event business
Manage inbound inquiries and convert qualified opportunities into booked business
Build and maintain relationships with clients, planners, organizations, and referral partners
Conduct property tours and site inspections for prospective clients
Prepare proposals, negotiate agreements, and close business
Develop sales strategies designed to achieve revenue and room-night goals
Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate account activity within the property's CRM
Monitor market trends and competitive activity to identify new revenue opportunities
Partner closely with operations, events, revenue management, and property leadership
Assist with pre-event coordination and ensure a smooth transition from sales to execution
Maintain strong client communication throughout the sales and event process
Represent the property at networking events, industry functions, and sales activities
We're looking for someone with 3+ years of hospitality sales experience, preferably involving weddings, social events, catering, group sales, resorts, boutique hotels, or destination properties.
The strongest candidates will be proactive sellers rather than purely inbound event coordinators. You should be comfortable prospecting for business, conducting site tours, presenting proposals, negotiating, closing, and working toward defined revenue goals.
Experience with hotel sales, CRM, event management, reservation, or revenue systems is strongly preferred.
This is an onsite position at a boutique destination property located approximately 30-40 minutes from Petaluma.
