This innovative and scalable programme prepares graduates not only with relevant technical skills but also problem solving and leadership skills missing in our tech graduates and promotes learning with a purpose.\nThe role of the Adjunct Curriculum Designer entails the responsibility to successfully design, refine and validate the existing learning components of the programme adhering to the principles of our ALU’s Learning Model and support the periodic review process with a set project plan and key milestones. The candidate will contribute to academic expertise, industry insight, and curriculum design experience to strengthen programme quality, graduate employability and long term programme relevance and work with programme leadership, programme development committee and other key stakeholders during the review process.\nWe are looking for an individual who can meet requirements as mentioned in the profile below:\nJob Description: \nReview, refine, design and validate the current learning curriculum of the Software Engineering programmes with documentation and with key attention to details outlined in the respective Project Plan and timelines\nConduct a comprehensive curriculum gap analysis against global Software Engineering education standards, industry requirements and emerging technology trends\nReview programme learning outcomes, graduate attributes, course sequencing, assessments and competency frameworks and recommend enhancements where required. \nEnsure curriculum alignment with current and emerging domains including Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Software Architecture, Secure Software Development, Product Engineering and other relevant technology fields \nBenchmark the programme against leading international Software Engineering and Computing degree programmes and recommend improvements\nReview and update course specifications, learning outcomes, assessment strategies, practical learning activities and programme documentation\nCollaborate with academic leadership, faculty learning designers and industry stakeholders to validate curriculum recommendations and proposed programme changes\nEnsure programme content reflects current industry practices, future workforce needs and technological advancements \nSupport quality assurance, accreditation and periodic programme review requirements through documentation and evidence based recommendations\nParticipate in curriculum review workshops, stakeholder consultations and validation sessions\nProvide periodic progress updates against agreed project milestones and deliverables.\nContribute to the review and update of programme handbooks, curriculum guides and other academic documentation\nSupport the Programme Manager in implementing approved curriculum enhancements and recommendations\nUndertake any other reasonable duties related to the successful completion of the curriculum review and redesign project.\nAny other reasonable duties that may be allocated from time to time by the line manager.\nEnsure the safety and well-being of all young persons and vulnerable adults with whom we deal, by adhering to ALU’s comprehensive safeguarding policy, maintaining a zero-tolerance approach to any violations of safeguarding standards\nPerson Specification:\nEssential\nMaster’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing or a closely related discipline and equivalent experience.\nMinimum of 7 years experience in academia, industry or a combination of both within Software Engineering and related computing disciplines\nDemonstrated experience in designing, reviewing, developing or revising undergraduate degree programmes or curricula in Computing, Software Engineering or related disciplines\nStrong expertise in Software Engineering principles, software development methodologies and modern software delivery practices\nDemonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following domains:\nCybersecurity\nCloud Computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)\nSoftware Architecture and Distributed Systems\nSecure Software Development\nGenerative AI and AI
