Working in coordination with management and cross-functional teams, this engineer will design, document, implement, test, debug, and maintain internal tooling and our multi-cloud automation platform.\nThe Senior DevOps Engineer will leverage advanced automation strategies to solve complex business and technical problems, identify auto-remediation opportunities, and improve the reliability and efficiency of our environments. This role requires close collaboration with Development, QA, Support, and Customer Support teams across multiple time zones.\nThe ideal candidate brings advanced experience with Python, Ansible, Node.js, React, Go, PowerShell, and related technologies, along with a strong foundation in cloud operations, systems administration, networking, software engineering, and CI/CD practices.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnhance, develop, and maintain internal tools for inventory generation, environment management, and automation.\nDesign and develop code for commercial end-user applications, prototypes, test tools, and other supporting programs.\nWrite, test, debug, and maintain automated deployment and configuration software using applicable programming languages and technologies.\nDesign, develop, and execute deployment, configuration, and automation workflows using Ansible, Jenkins, and related tools.\nCreate automation jobs that correct common issues, update configurations, and enable proactive auto-remediation.\nUse knowledge of Aspect’s product suite to identify and implement new automation and auto-remediation opportunities.\nCreate APIs that enhance our multi-cloud automation platform.\nWork with AWS, Azure, and GCP services and technologies, including Lambda, data pipelines, S3, load balancers, and cloud command-line interfaces.\nManage the CI/CD applications and processes used for internal tool development.\nIntegrate automation and operational workflows with Slack, Datadog, and Sumo Logic.\nMaintain current packages and dependencies for internal tools that use open-source libraries.\nProactively identify code that does not comply with requirements, standards, or designs and raise appropriate defects.\nCollaborate with internal cross-functional partners to understand system requirements and determine necessary modifications.\nContribute to product design specifications and broader design or process development.\nCreate and maintain best-practice guidelines, knowledge-base articles, runbooks, and procedures for deployment, configuration, installation, and maintenance.\nApply software debugging techniques, object-oriented design, multithreaded programming, and advanced design patterns when developing and troubleshooting solutions.\nBrainstorm and implement creative approaches to remediate issues throughout the environment.\nProvide technical guidance and support to less experienced team members.\nCommunicate complex technical information clearly to internal audiences and collaborate effectively with colleagues across multiple time zones.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent practical experience.\n6+ years of experience in software development, DevOps, cloud operations, systems administration, or a related technical role.\nMinimum of 6 years Designing and managing virtual networks (AWS VPC, Azure VNET, GCP VPC), including CIDR planning and subnet design across availability zones, and public vs private segmentation.\nHands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and operating infrastructure in production environments.\nStrong proficiency in Python and experience with additional technologies such as Node.js, React, PowerShell, or Go.\nExperience with Linux, Windows Server, containers, and configuration-management or automation tools such as Ansible.\nExperience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and using version-control systems such as Git or Bitbucket.\nStrong understanding of networking concepts, including routing, proxies, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and the OSI model.\nStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.\nExperience mentoring less-experienced team members and contributing to technical designs, standards, or process improvements.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Pulumi, Chef, Github Actions or Jenkins\nExperience with MongoDB, multithreaded programming, object-oriented design, APIs, and software design patterns.\nExperience creating automation and
