{"id":1897098,"url":"https://alion.io/job/alvogen-packaging-technician","title":"Packaging Technician","company":{"id":2332250,"name":"Alvogen","domain":"alvogen.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/alvogen-com","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"ADP","truth_index":{"grade":"B","score":75,"open_postings":5,"ghost_share":0,"stale_share":1,"repost_share":0,"time_to_fill_p50_days":null,"computed_at":"2026-10-12T06:55:09Z"}},"role":"Field & Service","role_family":"Field & Service","seniority":null,"employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"inferred","locations":[],"countries":[],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":{"min":18,"max":18,"currency":"USD","period":"hour","gross":null,"usd_annual":36000},"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-01-16T16:50:00Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-01-16","last_verified_at":"2026-10-12T02:00:16Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":268,"trust":{"level":"stale","repost_count":0,"flags":["stale"],"days_open":268},"description":"SUMMARY OF POSITION\nThe Manufacturing & Packaging Technician is responsible for the semi-finished or finished product by using required skills to operate, adjust, clean and set-up equipment in order to maintain quality, safety and regulatory standards for the production and distribution of pharmaceutical products.\nORGANIZATION STRUCTURE\nThe Manufacturing & Packaging Technician reports to the Operations Line Manager.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nManufacturing or Packaging Pharmaceutical Technician:\nSets-up equipment and tends machines to produce a variety of pharmaceutical products \nInspects, weighs and tests ingredients and finished products to ensure accuracy and quality \nTransports materials, ingredients, compounds, products and supplies into and out of manufacturing modules to facilitate the manufacturing process \nLoads ingredients into machine for manufacturing process \nUnloads manufactured product from machines \nCleans manufacturing equipment and modules for regular housekeeping and product changeovers \nPerforms data entry to ensure accuracy\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nPhysical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, pushing and pulling. \nReach and perform work above the head.\nUse hands for fine manipulation and repetitive tasks.\nClimb stairs/ladders/platforms, etc. on equipment for purposes of operating, maintaining and troubleshooting.\nLift objects up to 40 pounds without assistance or over 40 pounds with assistance.\nManipulate, tip, roll, and place a drum weighing up to 200 pounds onto scales and pallets.\nUse basic hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, and other hand tools as required.\nOperate high speed equipment.\nUse basic math skills for batch record calculations & analyze data.\nOperate a computer to input and access data.\nTroubleshoot and replace basic equipment components.\nMeet the requirements of safe operation and personal safety by understanding and properly using required personal protective equipment including PAPR and following safe practices.\nGive and discern the various visual and audible alarms and signals for equipment startup, evacuation, fires, etc.\nRead and apply SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) to daily work to meet cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance. \nThe ability to effectively participate in decision making processes incorporating the following skill: Conflict Resolution, Problem Solving, Planning, Effective Communications, Time Management & Priority Setting.\nMaintain accurate records and data.\nRead, write legibly, and comprehend high school level material, as well as technical training materials on various operations and systems in the language that is the accepted norm for the site.\nKnow and use the terminology and functions of machines and components. \nMaintain acceptable attendance.\nComply with random drug testing.\nWork overtime as required as needed.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nFull Time Position \nHigh School Diploma/GED \nTrade School Certification or College degree in Mechanical/Technical Discipline - Desired \nIndustrial experience desired in manufacturing or packaging (or in pharmaceutical/food industries) \nMechanical aptitude & Logical Thinking \nStrong literacy \nDocumentation of work \nMath Skills \nAbility to work in a team environment \nAbility to Willing to work across (3) different shifts or extended work hours \nGMP DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY\nThe Manufacturing/Packaging Technician must follow and comply with all cGMP process/procedures.\nThe anticipated base hourly rate for this position is $18.00. This position is eligible for Alvogen’s annual discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package, consisting of medical and prescription drug coverage (two PPO plans and an HDHP with Health Savings Account and employer contribution), dental, vision, flexible spending accounts. Alvogen’s benefits package also includes a retirement savings program, long-term care coverage, paid time off (112 hours to start) inclusive of sick time, disability benefits, life insurance, a wellness program, and 13 company recognized paid holidays per year.
