The role works closely with HR, Finance, managers, external payroll\nproviders, and government authorities to deliver a high-quality payroll service to employees.\nKey responsibilities and minimum requirements according to job level:\nProcess monthly payroll accurately and on time.\nReview and validate payroll data, including salaries, overtime, shift premiums, bonuses,\nallowances, and deductions.\nMaintain employee payroll records and ensure data accuracy within HR and payroll systems.\nCalculate final settlements, vacation pay, and other employee payments.\nSupport payroll-related month-end and year-end activities.\nEnsure compliance with Icelandic labor legislation, tax regulations, social security\nrequirements, and collective bargaining agreements.\nMaintain knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and union requirements.\nPrepare and submit payroll-related reports and declarations to authorities and third-party\nproviders.\nSupport internal and external audits by providing payroll documentation and reports.\nRespond to employee and manager inquiries regarding payroll, taxation, benefits, vacation\naccruals, and deductions.\nProvide guidance and support on payroll-related matters in a professional and confidential\nmanner.\nAssist with onboarding and offboarding activities related to payroll administration.\nCompetencies required to fulfill the employee responsibilities and work assignments:\nBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related\nfield, or equivalent experience.\nMinimum 3 years of payroll administration experience.\nStrong knowledge of Icelandic payroll practices, taxation, pension administration, and labor\nmarket requirements.\nExperience working with payroll and HR information systems.\nAdvanced Excel skills and experience with payroll reporting.\nStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.\nAbility to handle confidential information with discretion.\nFluent in Icelandic and English, both written and spoken.\nAdditional competencies required to fulfill key management responsibilities:\nExperience supporting multinational payroll operations.\nKnowledge of collective bargaining agreements and union requirements in Iceland.\nExperience with payroll process improvement and automation initiatives.\nExperience working in a complex or fast-paced
