Services are targeted to the residential and small commercial markets including building owners, management companies, small business owners, and trade allies / contractors. This position will also be responsible for introducing and explaining the incentive programs that pertain to these customer’s sectors.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.\nPerform all required duties as directed to install energy efficient equipment and products according to proper procedures.\nProvide a professional appearance appropriate for a representative of our organization and the client.\nEnsure the meeting of customer specifications and company quality standards.\nComplete special projects as assigned.\nComplete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.\nDevelop a comprehensive understanding of the program’s strategic direction regarding energy efficiency and the business activities of its customers.\nFollow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.\nPerform all required duties as directed to install energy efficient equipment and products including aerators, showerheads, and compact fluorescent lights.\nAssist in conducting blower door and combustion safety tests if required by the program.\nApply insulating and/or sealing material to exterior penetrations, window and door gaps, attic floor penetrations, attic doors and box sills as required.\nDaily travel to pre-scheduled appointments at apartments, condo units and other qualified building types.\nWork in a team atmosphere to collaborate and continuously improve operations year after year.\nOccasional weekend travel to a job site to accommodate a customer’s need may be required.\nConduct inventory counts and submit inventory reports as requested by management.\nAssure the cleanliness and organization of warehouse locations and fleet vehicle parking areas by regularly assisting with the cleaning and organization of those areas - this includes proper storage of product and recycling materials, if applicable.\nAssure assigned fleet vehicles have all safety products located within and attached to the vehicle, and that the vehicles are kept clean and orderly.\nPerform routine vehicle safety inspections and submit inspection and maintenance reports to management upon request.\nPosition Requirements\nEducation and Experience\nHigh School diploma or equivalent required.\n1 – 3 years of experience preferably in basic wiring, lighting, HVAC, troubleshooting and/or other technologies installed in commercial/residential applications.\n1 – 2 years of previous customer service/sales experience required.\nMechanical and technical aptitude required.\nExperience in installing technologies, manual labor and using tools. – Preferred\nBackground in one or more of the following: - Preferred\nBuilding science and design\nBuilding envelope\nWeatherization or related fields\nBuilding maintenance\nHome inspection\nHVAC, lighting, controls or renewable energy\nRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities \nStrong customer service and communication skills.\nMust be able to handle a wide work variety and work in a fast-paced environment.\nMust be a detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, and have an ability to prioritize workload.\nAbility to identify and resolve project application issues with customers and trade allies.\nProficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.\nStrong data entry skills in entering information in tracking systems/databases.\nAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers, clients and employees.\nAbility to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems.\nKnowledge of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios.\nCommitted to diversity and inclusion\nReliable transportation\n\nLicenses & Certifications\nValid driver’s license\n\nCompensation & Benefits: \nFranklin Energy reasonably expects the starting salary for this position to fall between $21 and $25 per hour. The final offer will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, geographic location, and business needs.
