Summary\nThe Senior Proposal Writer is a key part of the Commercial Excellence team and is primarily responsible for supporting end-to-end bid and proposal activities, resource allocation, and coordinating activities with cross functional teams.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.\nPerforms initial RFP analysis and coordinates/develops key proposal components to include proposal format and layout, templates, graphics, tables, diagrams, and charts.\nReads, interprets, tracks, and ensures compliance with RFP content and formatting requirements.\nDetermines appropriate approach in response to the RFP requirements and stated scope of work.\nResponsible for document formatting, layout, production, and packaging.\nWrites original proposal content, draws on past proposal library content, interviews subject matter experts and works in collaboration with opportunity architect to develop first draft of proposal response, edits technical material provided by subject matter experts into a cohesive proposal response draft.\nResearches, authors and edits responses to writing requirements.\nWorks collaboratively with SMEs to understand program delivery strategies and develop content that clearly articulate key messages, value propositions, with themes and key differentiators against competition.\nPerforms visual review of all proposal deliverables to achieve highly professional and polished client-ready documents.\nEstablishes proposal timeline to ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality.\nTakes ownership for meeting tight deadlines and orchestrating all activities required for producing the final proposal, including submittal through procurement websites / portals.\nSupports finalist interview presentations, including developing presentations, writing responses, and coordinating rehearsals.\nConducts post-production internal debriefs and lessons learned to refine process and increase effectiveness\nLeads efforts for annual maintenance of proposal library and serves as liaison with SME departments to revise and improve content available.\nIdentifies, assesses, resolves, and/or escalates issues as needed\n\nPosition Requirements\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required or equivalent required\n3 – 5 years of experience in proposal writing and management\nAbility to work with numerous software packages and procurement portals including Microsoft 365, Adobe Illustrator, and AI Tools.\nAbility to handle multiple and shifting priorities while meeting high quality standards\nRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities\nKnowledge of Demand Side Management and Renewable Energy programs \nOutstanding communication and critical thinking skills, including proficiency with grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style guides\nDemonstrated success in cultivating positive internal relationships\nSkilled in communicating with internal audiences through a variety of channels\nAbility to work with a wide range of subject matter experts in a collaborative manner\nRelationship-oriented, energetic, and resourceful\nPositive attitude under pressure, strong team player, responsible, dedicated, and self-motivated\nAbility to adhere to schedules, meet deadlines, and establish clear priorities quickly\nMust be able to handle a wide work variety and work in a fast-paced environment\nMust be a detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, and have an ability to prioritize workload\nExpertise in software tools including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat and graphics programs\nAbility to work in multiple utility, state and federal procurement sites\nStrong data entry skills in entering information in tracking salary for this position to fall between $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 Annually. The final offer will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, geographic location, and business needs.
