The BOM will assist with administrative, personnel, fiscal, travel, logistical, training, equipment and other duties as assigned.\nThe BOM will work onsite at NASA Ames in Mountain View, California.\nHybrid schedule is available\nSalary range: $100,000 to $140,000\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nTake ownership of program activities as a regular, integral part of contract operations, which may include tracking and coordinating activities on many fronts, assessing situations/issues that may arise and effectively discussing recommended course of action with the PM and Sr. Business Operations Manager.\nPrepare and update project plans and status reports and implement lessons learned.\nBuild and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and corporate operations.\nCoordinate with corporate infrastructure to clearly define roles, work sharing, and effective workflow.\nManage, maintain, and archive operations data and records, including site performance metrics, contact DRDs and all forms of contract reporting and operations information.\nWork with AMA Contracts/Procurements to track procurements and subcontracting to ensure appropriate documentation is maintained, agreements are in place and spending tasks are aligned with the plan.\nCoordinate and communicate effectively with technical and administrative staff members to address operational efficiency or emerging issues.\nPerform other duties as assigned when necessary.\nRequirements:\n5+ years of relevant experience in engineering, business or program management including supervision of personnel and strategic decision making.\nThe successful candidate will have an acute sense of ownership to provideoversight and management for multiple activities and the ability tosupport evolving leadership priorities.\nAbility to work closely with specified personnel to facilitate effective planning and accomplishment of critical objectives in a timely manner and ensure adherence to specified plans and schedules.\nPrior experience implementing overall business process improvements and project management best practices. \nStrong ability to identify problems, determine accuracy and relevance of information, and use of sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.\nExcellent communication skills (both oral and written) including experience in preparing and presenting oral and written briefings to all levels of management.\nCollege Degree or equivalent experience.\nDesired Qualifications:\nPrior experience and knowledge of multiple business management departments, including finance, subcontracting, contracting, and purchasing\nPrior experience in managing a research and engineering workforce is desirable.\nDue to sensitive content of the work, applicants must be a US citizens or permanent US residents.\nAnalytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) is proud of our customer relationships, our diverse and dynamic work environment, and our employees' career satisfaction.
