The DPM will report directly to the ASSESS Program Manager with responsibility for managing a portfolio of activities under contract. The DPM will participate in managing the interface between local contract management and corporate management. The successful DPM candidate may exercise all of the responsibilities and authority of the Program Manager when the PM is on leave or such responsibilities and authority is delegated. This position is in Mountain View, CA.\nSalary range $170,000 to $250,000, based on skill level and experience.\nResponsibilities:\nCommunicate effectively with customers and ensure high contractor performance.\n\nLead integrated resource management and coordination\n\nPerform strategic workforce planning including skills vitalization\n\nSupervise and mentor technical staff, including performance evaluations and promoting skills development\n\nPromote cross-cutting technical innovation discussions and forums\n\nLead overall quality assurance tracking and inform quality approaches, supported by corporate S&MA\n\nIdentify technical, schedule, cost, and organizational conflict of interest (OCI) and performance risks and formulate handling strategies.\n\nManage subcontractors and consultants on assigned tasks.\n\nFoster, grow and maintain positive relationships with existing and new customers along management and technical interfaces.\n\nSupport corporate initiatives and process improvements efforts that benefit across multiple contracts\n\nDevelop/update contract plans (e.g., S&H, OCI, IT Security, Property Management, DEIA)\n\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in science or engineering. Additional education, training, or certification in management, leadership, or project management preferred.\n\nMinimum ten (10) years of experience leading and/or managing groups of scientists and engineers in a research environment involving sciences or engineering.\n\nMinimum five (5) years of experience planning and leading complex, multidisciplinary scientific programs, including building and maintaining technical collaborations.\n\nMinimum five (5) years of experience managing an organization of twenty (20) or more science, engineering, and/or IT professionals in a contracting environment.\n\nExperience supporting NASA programs strongly desired.\n\nExcellent written and oral presentation skills.\n\nEffective management of priorities.\n\nAble to communicate effectively with customers.\n\nMust be able to obtain a security clearance.\n\nMust be a US Citizen due to security clearance requirements.\nAnalytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) is proud of our customer relationships, our diverse and dynamic work environment, and our employees' career satisfaction.
