You'll work closely with their engineering and technology teams to build, run and improve the CI/CD platform that their software delivery depends on.\nThis is a hands-on role. GitHub and GitHub Actions are at the centre of it: you'll design and maintain workflows, shape how teams use GitHub day to day, and help bring pipelines and repositories onto consistent, secure standards. You'll also work across Python scripting, Docker and AWS to automate and improve how software gets built, tested and released.\nThe customer operates in a large and complex enterprise environment. You'll need to be comfortable working across teams, navigating processes that may not always be clearly defined, and taking problems through from investigation to resolution.\nPlease note: candidates must be based in the UK and have existing right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.\nRequired Experience:\n6+ years' hands-on experience in DevOps, platform engineering or a similar technical role.\nStrong, demonstrable experience with GitHub, including GitHub Actions, workflow design and CI/CD pipeline development.\nGood working knowledge of Git workflows, branching strategies, pull request processes and repository governance.\nExperience writing Python scripts for automation; Bash scripting is a bonus.\nHands-on experience with Docker and containerised deployments.\nWorking experience with AWS in production environments.\nUnderstanding of CI/CD security good practice, including secrets management and access control.\nAbility to troubleshoot pipeline and deployment issues independently.\nStrong communication skills and confidence working as an embedded member of a customer's technical team.\nA genuinely hands-on approach, comfortable working in a large enterprise where things are not always clearly defined.\nKey responsibilities & duties include:\nDesign, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, including reusable workflows, composite actions and self-hosted runners.\nHelp define and maintain how teams work in GitHub, including repository structures, branching strategies, pull request workflows, branch protection rules and access controls.\nSupport the migration and consolidation of repositories and pipelines from other tools (such as Jenkins, GitLab or Bitbucket) into GitHub and GitHub Actions.\nMake sure secrets, credentials and configuration are handled securely across pipelines.\nWrite Python and Bash scripts to automate manual tasks, integrate tools and improve developer workflows.\nBuild and support containerised applications using Docker, deploying to AWS (ECS/Fargate).\nWork with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) as part of the delivery pipeline.\nTroubleshoot build, deployment and pipeline issues, identifying root causes and putting lasting fixes in place.\nImprove pipeline reliability, speed and visibility through monitoring, logging and continuous improvement.\nWork closely with developers, engineering leads and customer stakeholders to improve delivery practices and promote DevOps ways of working.\nProduce clear documentation and share knowledge with other engineers and teams.\nDesirable Experience:\nGitHub Enterprise administration, or experience rolling GitHub out across multiple teams.\nExperience migrating pipelines from Jenkins, GitLab CI or Bitbucket Pipelines to GitHub Actions.\nGitHub certifications (e.g. GitHub Actions or GitHub Administration).\nTerraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.\nExperience with Amazon ECS/Fargate or Kubernetes.\nExperience in aviation, travel or other highly regulated environments.\nWhat’s in it for you: \nAn opportunity to join a fast-growing company \nOptions for career advancement \nLearning and development opportunities \nFlexible working environment\nCompetitive salaries based on experience \nEqual Opportunity Employer:\nAmach is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
