Releases are built by a dedicated R&D team; this role takes those releases and deploys them safely into customer environments across frontend, middleware and backend components.\nAround 70% of the role is deployments and the change management that goes with them, from receiving the request through to implementation. The remaining 30% is automation: alerting, monitoring and deployment scripts that make deployments faster and more reliable.\nKey Responsibilities\nDeployments (70%)\nDeploy R&D releases, upgrades and fixes for Self-Service products (Kiosks, Auto Bag Drops, etc.) across frontend, middleware and backend components.\nCarry out pre-deployment checks and post-deployment verification to confirm products are working before handover.\nRoll back deployments when needed and work with R&D to resolve deployment issues.\nCoordinate deployment windows with customers, sites and internal teams, including out-of-hours where required.\nKeep deployment runbooks and documentation up to date and hand over knowledge to support teams.\nChange Management and Admin\nReceive and work through requests (RITMs) from customers and internal teams.\nPrepare change requests (CRs), including implementation, test and rollback plans.\nReview change requests raised by other engineers for quality and completeness.\nImplement approved changes and close them off with the right records.\nHandle change and admin work on behalf of other engineers so they can stay focused on technical delivery.\nAutomation (30%)\nBuild and tune monitoring and alerting for Self-Service products.\nWrite and maintain deployment scripts and pipelines to make deployments consistent and repeatable.\nAutomate routine operational tasks and reduce manual effort.\nSupport and Troubleshooting\nTroubleshoot deployment and production issues and resolve them or escalate to R&D.\nSupport high severity incidents and be available on the standby roster.\nAssist with environment setup for new projects, including AWS infrastructure and deployment pipelines.\nAbout the Ideal Candidate\n2 to 5 years' experience in deployment, DevOps/SRE/Platform or application support.\nExperience deploying and supporting applications in production environments.\nGood understanding of change management (ITIL) and working with RITMs and change requests.\nScripting skills (PowerShell & Python) for automation and deployments.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and alerting.\nExperience with AWS and Windows and Linux environments.\nKubernetes experience is a strong advantage.\nITIL or AWS certifications are a plus.\nOrganised, detail-focused and able to work with minimal supervision.\nClear communicator, comfortable working with R&D, customers and teams across time zones.\nWhat we can offer you:\n A truly global DNA - Everything at Amadeus is global, from our people to our business, which translates into our footprint, processes, and culture.\n Great opportunities to learn - Learning happens all the time and in many ways at Amadeus, through on-the-job training, formal learning activities, and day-to-day interactions with colleagues.\n A caring environment - Amadeus fosters a caring environment, nurturing both a fulfilling career and personal and family life.
