You will be hands-on every day, and the person junior engineers turn to first.\nWhy This Role Exists\nOur data teams on large US accounts are growing faster than our senior bench. Each account now runs several workstreams at once: ERP data integration, enterprise data lakes on Microsoft Fabric, finance and operations reporting, and AI applications on top of that data.\nWe are hiring 1-2 experienced data leads who can each own a workstream with light oversight, keep quality high, and grow the junior engineers and graduate-programme shadows working alongside them.\nWhat You Will Own / Key Responsibilities\nWorkstream delivery\nOwn one or more client workstreams end to end: scope, plan, build, validation and handover.\nBuild and maintain pipelines and lakehouse layers in Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouses, Notebooks, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2) following our Medallion standards.\nIntegrate ERP and operational sources such as SAP ECC, Infor, CMiC, Sage 300 and Salesforce, and document the business rules behind each dataset.\nDesign Power BI semantic models and reports for finance and operations users.\nQuality and client communication\nValidate data with client finance and BI teams, and own the fixes until the numbers reconcile.\nRun regular working sessions with client counterparts and send clear written status updates, flagging risks early.\nReview code from junior engineers and enforce testing, documentation and version-control standards.\nTeam\nMentor junior associates and graduate-programme shadows, and give them real ownership as they grow.\nContribute to reusable playbooks and templates so each new workstream starts faster.\n Must Have\n5+ years in data engineering or BI, with at least 2 years leading a workstream or small team for a client or business unit.\nHas delivered on Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse/Data Factory or Databricks, plus Power BI (DAX, semantic models, Row-Level Security).\nStrong SQL and Python/PySpark. Solid dimensional modelling.\nHas worked with finance or ERP data (GL, job cost, AP/AR, inventory) and reconciled it with business users.\nComfortable in front of client stakeholders. Writes clear, concise English.\nOwns outcomes; follows issues through to resolution without waiting to be asked.\nStrong Plus\nMicrosoft Fabric or Azure data certifications (e.g. DP-600, DP-700).\nHas worked with US clients across time zones.\nExposure to AI applications on enterprise data (LLM assistants, document capture).\nAzure DevOps or GitHub CI/CD for data.\nKnows construction, industrial services, manufacturing or mining operations.\nCore stack: Microsoft Fabric · Power BI · PySpark · SQL · Azure DevOps · ERP data (SAP, Infor, CMiC)\n What Success Looks Like\n90 days: Owns a client workstream day-to-day. Has delivered at least one validated dataset or report to production. Juniors on the workstream have clear tasks and get regular code review.\n6 months: Client stakeholders go to them directly for their workstream. Delivery is on time with few rework cycles. At least one junior has stepped up to own a component.\n12 months: Ready to lead a larger workstream or a smaller account.
