Role

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and service-oriented Rooms Intern to join Janu Tokyo. This internship is ideal for a student who is passionate about luxury hospitality and eager to gain hands-on experience in Rooms operations within a modern luxury hotel environment. As a Rooms Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn and support daily operations across the Rooms Division, including Front Office and Housekeeping. Working closely with experienced hotel colleagues, you will develop practical knowledge of luxury hospitality standards, guest service, hotel operations, and effective communication while contributing to the smooth and welcoming experience of our guests. This internship provides an opportunity to build a strong foundation in hospitality through practical learning, teamwork, and exposure to the day-to-day operations of a contemporary luxury hotel.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operations of the Rooms Division including Front Office and Housekeeping, as assigned
• Assist with welcoming and providing attentive service to guests in accordance with Janu Tokyo service standards
• Support Front Office colleagues with guest-related tasks, including check-in and check-out preparation, guest requests and other operational duties as appropriate
• Assist Housekeeping colleagues with maintaining guest rooms and public areas to the required standards of cleanliness, presentation and attention to detail
• Support the preparation and organisation of guest rooms and amenities
• Communicate effectively with other hotel departments to support smooth daily operations
• Follow hotel policies, procedures, safety standards and service standards at all times
• Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate appropriate hospitality etiquette
• Actively participate in training and learning opportunities throughout the internship
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork, flexibility, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment

Requirements

• Must be actively enrolled in an educational institution throughout the internship period.
• The internship must be a mandatory component of the student's academic curriculum and must have a duration of at least 6 months and no more than 1 year. In addition, the total internship period must not exceed 1/2 of the standard duration of the student's academic program.
• Must demonstrate an active learning mindset and a strong willingness to learn through the internship experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Advanced business-level English proficiency (CEFR C1 or higher).
• Business conversational level Japanese proficiency (CEFR B1 or higher).
• Basic PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and typing. *Candidates with exceptional experience or skills may be considered even if they do not meet every point
